I know that this is very late to do so, but something of note is you listed the battle barge as 18km, which is almost the same size as a Gloriana class ship, if this is the battle barge class I'm thinking of then it should be around 10km. Other than than nice job.

I really hope you continue this story someday. This is certainly one of the better written 40k fanfics around, and you've portrayed the Marines (quite liberal and open minded ones) in a very believable fashion. I find myself fully engrossed in their interactions with the Federation and the contrast and reactions of the two universes to each other is stark enough without being ridiculous.

The dialogue is definitely a strong point of your story and one of the hardest things for any 40k fanfic author to get right. You've struck a great balance between the fanatic warrior monk side of the Space Marines and the more human, pragmatic side. They don't speak like one-dimensional robots obsessed with their faith and procedures, and they don't completely break character from what should be expected of an indoctrinated supersoldier bred for unending warfare. Many fics fall too much on either side of that spectrum and you're one of the rare, precious few that has managed to find a comfortable middle ground that suits your story.

However, i find myself totally skipping over the Tyranid side story you seem to be running here. Like some of the reviews before me, I feel like I've just been cheated out of several chapters of an engaging 40k/ST crossover in exchange for a completely normal 40k story I could find at Black Library. If you ever come back to this story, please do what you can to wrap it up or link it to the main Star Trek plotline as soon as you can. Hell, I'm not opposed to you just killing it off point blank and stating it will not be revisited in an Authors Note if you really have to.

Firstly, I should say write however you want to write... but I am of the personal opinion that if you go back in time then the future doesn't matter till you return to it. They can't both proceed at the same pace unless you've really traveled to an alternate reality instead of the past... anyway I'm saying this to admit that I've been skipping every other chapter that deals with the events in the 41st millennia...

Since when was the imperium reluctant to use nukes? The guard even gets the deathstrike launcher i think they usually just have better WMDs.

Also as far as I am aware Imperial shields shunt energy into the warp to function, it being warp related would likely complicate any attempts to use science to circumnavigate them. The way their teleportation works also might bypass star trek shields considering they work by temporarily poping people in and out of the warp.

So...what happens next? It just ends, right before the Terran warship arrives at DS9? Does the Federation survive? Does the Sword of Lycurgas outgun the Dominion? Do they make it back home?

This is such a amazing fic, and even more, the big moment we has been teased is but a chapter away.
I know, after 4 years, this fic is pretty much confirmed for death. But I hopes that this comment might tell the author that there are still peoples reading and waiting for his continuation.
