I read this every few years and I love it. You did amazing taking a game that lacked in story and made an epic tale out of it. Many characters in the game were two dimensional but you fleshed them out into real people who actually influence the story. If there is ever a reboot to the franchise, I hope they remake the game into something more like your story here.

IS there a reason you keep changing names of things? Will to Alchemy, Hero's Guild to Pheonix Guild. This is honestly getting a little weird for me.

Slightly too fast paced at times, some grammatical issues, but I really liked the banter with Whisper.

It was definitely the best in the old Fable: TLC/ Fable section haha.

One thing I loved about the story you wrote was how you didn't Marysue-ify the Hero - he's not immediately and definitely WAY better than Whisper, or the other characters your created, and there's an acknowledgement that they are Heroes too. They won't go down so easily, and you treat them like proper characters, not turning them to cannon fodder as proof of the Lyle's power. It was something a lot of writers had trouble with understanding.

Although regardless of the development he goes through later, I still thoroughly dislike Van, who is still both a jerk and currently, That Guy who sees Alex as a prize.

But it also means that his development later really shines through.

I enjoyed the dialogue and the fluid way your story moves. You didn't dwell on descriptions, made Lyle and his father three dimensional and have provided a captivating introduction to this adaptation. Kudos.

Ehhh, I was loving this until you killed my favorite character. Although, the ending was the (in my opinion) the best one to take to avoid pissing people off. I like Talon, a lot more then Alex. Anyway, great story.

That was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I read about 4/5 of it in two days. Excellent. I'm impressed. Your writing style and fluidity is of a professional level and your attention to detail and simultaneous engagement is something to be admired. I thoroughly enjoyed this and will be looking forward to reading the Lost Chapters.
One last thing. I very much like your adaption of the original Fable storyline. Creative yet true to it's roots. Congratulations
