Woah I was not expecting that! Totally blew my mind, I wasn't expecting Vader to ever know about what had happened to Luke let alone bring his attackers into such close proxcemity to him. Again great chapter!

It was really interesting to see what Vader though of Luke and how that effected his already weak self esteem, his father is the only family he has left and although you're hinting to the fact that he believes Leia to be his sister I doubt he'd ever truly tell her. Knowing that Vader is his father has messed up his life from the second he knew it to be true, he's always felt as though he'd turn out to be exactly like his father if he gives into his impluses-yet on the other hand he doesn't want to disappoint his father by being himself which I feel is really quite tragic. Because of who his father is he'll never truly be comfortable enough around him to be himself, it's the same for Vader, is his eyes Love and emotion made him weak and lead him along the path of destruction and hatred that he's already on so truly accepting Luke as he is, is out of the question for him, He wants Luke to be strong because he sees so many of his own character flaws within Luke and he feels the only way of preventing Luke from becoming just like him is through tough love. He loves his son so much, but telling him that is completely out of the question.

Vader's whole tough love approach leaves Luke uncertain to whether or not his father is being genuine in the way he feels, or if he's just being manipulated like every other person in Vader's life. It's that approach that Lead vader to do what he did, the only way he could possible show Luke he cared for the way he feels is to bring up his most deeply buried trauma. Also Luke beating everyone up was a top 10 moment for me within this story.

I’m not surprised that Luke is still somewhat annoyed, but his idea about therapy is pretty intriguing. And Luke was definitely throwing a temper tantrum, even if it was justified. I should have guessed that Vader would have found out what happened to Luke. They got what they deserved alright, and I’m perfectly satisfied. Life imprisonment will serve them right. Nice to see Luke thinking about Leia again. I think he’d best keep that tidbit to himself until Vader is more stable. Lol.

You do know this chapter is repeated. Like 20 something chapters ago?

Honestly. The Crack portion is just reducing what could have been a great story. It would have been nice to see Luke be a more consistent with his character. Especially given how much he did love his family. That whole attitude wouldn't have been a long term thing. That's some of the things that have been bothering me.

I can totally picture Luke making a mess of the walls in his room. And Luke’s analysis of what the wall looked like. I totally cracked up. Luke deciding to chat instead of sleep… Sounds like something he might do. I think Luke should have worded what he was thinking a little better. Just blurting it out like that really wasn’t the best idea. Vader’s reaction was perfectly understandable, considering everything that’s happened to him. Leia and Anakin are too much alike. Their relationship would be so different from that of Vader and Luke it can hardly be compared.

"Being a Sith Lord, killing people, conquering planets, overthrowing governments" - I guess controversial is a nice diplomatic way of describing all that.

Poor Luke. That was harsh. Vader really needs a therapist.

If he ever met Leia, I guess he'd thank his lucky stars Luke is at least wishy washy on the whole rebellion vs empire thing.

Another great chapter! Luke and his million and one questions. I’m not at all surprised that Vader sometimes gets tired (at least he pretends to be) of answering them all. Ignoring is the best strategy at times. Lol. Identity crisis… I think that probably sums it up well. I feel like Vader’s sarcasm is beginning to sound a lot like Anakin’s at times. Well, it’s good to see that Vader has a new plan, one which I’m hoping will work. He is extremely clever.

Gold sparkles? How twinky can Luke be? Now that I've thought about it though, I wish I had some gold sparkly stars in my bedroom.

I loved this chapter so much! :) I'm happy that Vader's been repaired on the outside, and I feel like Luke seeing him let him understand his father better. I wonder if Sidious will get suspicious. Probably not, at least not immediately, since Vader has obeyed him for so long.

The past few chapter have been AMAZING for Vader's character development. Seeing him learning to trust again is really refreshing and also really tragic to see just how mentally tormented he is that he sees normal emotions of love and nurturing as being a personal attack, he sees people as inheirantly flawed and weak-Mustafar really destroyed his psyce, I tried to see it from Kenobi's point of view and makes excuses for why he did what he did but I just cannot believe that he'd leave someone he considered a brother to die, it's honestly horrific he watched his ROAST ALIVE. I wonder if Vader suffers from some kind of PTSD because of what happened?

This story has really progressed fantastically, Luke and Vader are now closer that ever and it's so amazing to see, Vader's self aware, but this chapter really showed me the extent of his suffering and vulnerability, I found it hard to beileve that Vader would ever allow his son to see his suite maintence but in a way I really enjoyed it, I've not read any other Luke/Vader story that writes it let alone in such a captivating way.

The Synth skin was really interesting, I believe in Canon Palpatine forbade Vader from having it and purposely gave him outdated systems and ill fitting prosthetics in order to fuel is suffering, Vader once refered to his suite as his only personal prison. I'd really like to see this chapter from Vader's point of view since in my opinion it's an important moment in his character development.

Also Luke and Vader cuddling is my new favourite thing, it's strangely intimate but shows Vader's change, Luke is warming his heart and slowly opening him up too human things again and I love that. They're just so sweet. ALSO imagine, Luke and Vader as style icons wearing matching outfits and turning Vader's dressing room into their own personal fashing show in which they both just lift each others self esteem and bond over cute outfits. I love them.

I think Luke just got a better idea of how dangerous it is to be a Rebel, even if Vader will try to support him. No wonder Vader didn't want him to go the Rebels in the first place. And Vader’s mood swings… *sighs* I’m so used to them that they don’t even phase me anymore. Lol. That fantasy was – well, I’d love to see them do something which didn’t involve stressing over the galaxy. They deserve it. And I honestly can’t imagine Vader remarrying anyone after Padme (and I dislike stories where he does xD).

Yay! More Vader and Luke time! And I sympathize with Luke wearing armor. Ugh. I’d go crazy if I had to do that, especially if I was trying to do lightsaber (more like sword) practice. I knew Luke would start coming up with ideas like crazy for how to improve his father’s condition. Gotta love his spirit, even if Vader keeps disagreeing with him. And I’m so happy Vader agreed this time.

I'm so glad to see that you'd updated! I absolutely adored this chapter you have such an captivating way of writing Luke and Vader there personalities compliment each other so well in this chapter.

Vader really intrigued me, he seems different more open and accepting of his son and less tempermental. I was truely amazed at Vader for even suggesting having his son watch his suite maintance it must be very difficult for him as he's unable to move for hours of end, it really show how much Vader trusts his son to be able to let him see him at his weakest. I'm also really amazed that you remembered all the talking we did about Vader's suite!

Vader's photo album of Luke has to be the cutest thing I've ever read. He has such a proud dad moment when his son sees it for the first time even going so far as to stating that more will be added to it by the time Luke leaves again. It's honestly such a wholesome moment that not many writers capture. I've always seen Vader as the type to have a secret photo album of the people that mean the most to him and he just sits in his pod and scrolls through them... he's secretly very sentimental but this is also so like Vader, it shows his possessive and slightly questionable stalkerish side coming through.

Luke's so cute this chapter, Vader just wants to plot a galactic takeover but style icon Luke just wants new boots. DIDN'T HE LITERALLY JUST GO SHOPPING? Luke are you alright?
