Aaah..this is sad

the idea for this story was great, and some places where you go into detail are really sweet. Other times the story doesn't seem quite so believeable, but maybe that's just because i picture neville's predicament a little differently. I like how you try to add more meaning to the visits and try to explain neville the way he is with the price of shining too brightly bit, though I don't feel like that really explains it all - in the books, neville really does seem to be trying hard not to be clumsy or, eh, dumb. Still, I love the focus, and Neville's reaction to his parents, this was definitely a 'refreshing' fic.

OMG, that was so sad. Recently Neville has become my favorite character. I had always thought of him wanting to be all brave and stuff like his parents, but I never imagined him being scared of being like them. But after reading your fic, it makes a lot more sense than the other way. I've read a lot of fics about Neville visiting his parents, but I think this one is by far the best.

I thought your story provided a good reason for his poor magic ability. The potential is there but not the desire to use it. However, after reading this I was even more certain that he should be in Hufflepuff. Nice description of Gran and his parents.
