I thoroughly enjoyed your story in ways that I don't even know how to place into words...I think the closest I can come to describing it is... like having a redbull on a rainy day on your day to work only to find out that the place is flooded and everyone gets to go home. so when you get home you are so hyped up that you jump on the bed for 45 minutes and then take a nap... it's close to that feeling.

It kept me guessing with it's twists and turns. Unpredictable.
I loved the subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) undercurrent of tension between the characters.

The actual plot was very interesting, as was your follow-though and
your visuals were very strong, I needed a shower immediately after reading this. I felt dirty, and grimy and hot. I felt like I was there with them.

It was fairly in-character, which is harder to find than I'd like to think about.

So I guess what I am trying to say is...this was the bees knees!
Loved it!

This is so amazing- I read this story once, loved it and then promptly forgot what site I'd found it on! This hits every button, I tell you, all that I could possibly want in a story so I thought I'd chip in with my praise: Great work!

Avalon (the author) here. To answer Skyerocket's question, Linda Campbell beta reads all my stories, including "Eidolon" and "The Wraith" (the other story to which Skyerocket is referring). I wrote "Eidolon" first, which is why there's no mention that it's a rewrite (because it isn't - it's the original). "The Wraith" was written much later and states clearly in the introduction that it is a rewrite (which is also why I haven't posted it here). All clear now?

I've read this story before... Only the parts were switched with Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon Jinn from Star Wars. It was written by Linda Campbell, who you mention... does she know you're using her story? Or did you write it a long time ago and use Campbell's name?

Absolutely brilliant, i can't wait to read the sequel. Janeway was written beautifully, i don't think the writers could've come up with a better episode! I thoroughly encourage you to write more!
