Just happened across this story again. I know JAG has been gone more than 10 years but if you had ideas about this story I am SURE there are readers out there who would enjoy how this was headed!

Doesn't look like you've been writing JAG fic lately but in case you start doing again, here's a tip: take note of the uniforms they're wearing in an episode to get an idea of the time of year and also take note of exterior shots of HQ for things like autumn leaves on the trees or new Spring growth.

In 'Crossing The Line' the Naval personnel were wearing Service Blues, which means it couldn't be July because that's Summer and they wear Blues in Winter, Whites in Summer.

When you see them in Blues one week and Whites the next or vice versa, you know it's around April or September respectively, uniform changeover time. Season 1 is tricky because they're almost always in Khakis but we know it starts on July 14th - Bastille Day.

- We do know Chegwidden was an Academy graduate; he comments to Harriet one time that he was drafted by Cleveland as a pitcher but he got into Annapolis and the SEALs. You'll find that in the season 7 episode 'The Mission.' Also, he wears a class ring, easily seen in 'Critical Condition' - 1st ep of season 8.
- Bud went through NROTC. ('We The People' - "Mr. Roberts, do you know any military protocol for entering a vehicle with a senior officer?" "Sir, yes, sir. One of the first things I learned at NROTC."
- Mac was commissioned via OCS. ('Ghosts' - when Harm is talking about Bill the Goat being the Academy mascot and says maybe that doesn't mean much to an OCS graduate, obviously referring to Mac as being one.)
- That Harm went through the Academy comes up in various places.

It's not being extra observant that gets me this info - it's not having the faintest what they're talking about and not knowing if it matters so turning to my good friends Google and Wiki for help! ;-D

I'm an Aussie, ya see... and so some stuff that probably floats over the heads of Americans (because they're familiar with it) doesn't float over mine because I need to find out what they're on about - I figure that's probably why some of it sticks - when I come across it again, I have to stop a moment to remind myself what they're talking about. And no, being Australian doesn't give me an automatic fondness for Brumby - the guy would be lucky to get the time of day from me with most of his behavior/attitudes! I love the bit you had where the chipped paint was doing a better job of getting Mac's attention than Mic - lol!

P.S. Aussie is pronounced Ozzy, not Ossie! And I'll glare at anyone who gets it wrong... :[ ;-)

i don't like mac

Agreeing with the last person to write a review. One of the more interesting premises with Harm/Meg R. Please continue!

It's over seven years since the last update, so there's probably little hope that you are going to pick up this storyline again. But I have to say it is one of the most interesting stories I have seen around here. It has an interesting JAG investigation at the centre, and ties the JAG characters to the investigation in various ways, not only as investigators and as victims (how could you do that to Bud! Poor Harriet!). And the JAG team gets together to support them, like good friends would, as Harriet acknowledges in the interview with the FBI agents. You tell the story tightly without getting lost in details. No-one is a bastard in this story (I never saw Brumby as chasing skirts, though, he pretty much had his sights on Mac from the beginning). Now I want to know more about the investigation into the Annapolis Shooting, about Bud, about William and I have always liked Meg -extra points for her assessment of Webb! *g*
If you ever run out of stuff to write, I think this story would be deserving of an ending :-).

What happens next. AWESOME

I am sooooo bummed this story ends where it does. I know it's from years ago so there is no hope of any further chapters, but I have to tell you it was mean to stop where you did :p

Seriously, though, I want to thank you for writing this and sharing it. It's well-written, in character, and totally plausible, which is a rarity. And I love that there's room to like both Meg and Mac. Even if you never update again (Ah!), I'm glad I got to enjoy 14 chapters of this great world you've created.

I really like this story and was actually kinda hoping you'd update it sometime soon! I noticed it hasn't been updated in 5 years now, but there aren't that many good long Harm/Meg stories, which is a real pity, as Harm/Meg is a much nicer ship than Harm/Mac. Those two fight and hurt each other too much.

I absolutely loved the Meg/Harm relationship and would have loved to read more of it. I absolutely loved how in the first chapter there was something between Harm and Mac but after Meg came back all of that was forgotten.. meaning Meg is the only one for Harm!

And I even managed to like Mac :)

I would love to read more from you, even after all these years. Even a new story of Meg and Harm would be greatly appreciated.

Geez,and here I thought I was the only one found the story 2 1/2years after the last thing is you really got me hooked. And you left of at point where things are really starting to get interesting. So please, please continue this story. There aren't a whole lot of Meg/Harm stories out there anymory and I just love your style of writing.
