i dont know if that's what you purposely made of it but al IS supposed to remember when they did human transmutation, just nothing after that.

it's the other way around. ed lost his left leg in the transmutation but lost his right arm while attatching al's soul to the armor. he says it himself. al goes like, "what happened to me?" and ed's just like, "i'm...sorry, al... i used... my right arm as material... to bind... your soul... to the armor... in the corner..." and faints dramatically.

i love stories like this...it has great depth...

I've started this story I'm not sure how many times and now I've finally finished it. Such a wonderful, spare piece, telling and lovely and also frightening in the implications that you conjure with the words.

Happy endings are what you make of them, after all.
