Please take my criticisms of that of a fellow writer who has been working on my own Dark Link Story for 11 years now. I have released nothing as yet because I wanted to improve my skills more before I did so. So when I am harsh on your story, it is only because I am so impressed that you were able to overcome the stigma of releasing an imperfect story, open to the world for enjoyment and review.

The approach is good, though the perspective is constantly switching between Link and Dark Link to immerse the reader in both sides. Its narrative approach tells the story well, but detracts from some of the drama. It was strange that Dark Link knew about the water Temple, though he had been birthed in the very room he was stationed in.

When did he find out about Links past? Even if Ganondorf had access to that, how would he know unless he was there. Given I don't know the full power of the Triforce of Power, yet I doubt something that is supposed to represent raw power would have the ability to read Link's Mind and create a being based off of it. A power like that would be more inline with the Triforce of Wisdom. Or even a power that can read his every thought.

An angle more realistic of the powers that be would be that Dark Link was always shadowing Link, literally his shadow, and then he would say "I am every angry, senseless thought you ever had..." and it would make more sense because he was there when these things occurred. What if his very existence was a side effect of the time-travel? What if he was never supposed to exist? Or even, what if he had been the cause that Link that slept for 7 years? 'The moment Link drew the sword, he was teleported to the Chamber of Sages, but something happened...Link Doubled over, and a shadow stood up, pushing Links body aside."

Some ideas to get you obsessed with it again :P Not like its a bad thing to be wary of ones' shadow...

OMG I just started reading this story and I love it! You are such an amazing author and go into so much detail. I love dark link and you made him AMAZING! It's finally good to read an adventure fanfic with dark link that so at doesn't have link x dark link! ;) tremendous job! XD

I read this fanfiction many, many years ago, then I downloaded, printed and read it once and again many times untill I moved to a new house and lost it. I'm glad that nothing gets really lost forever when it's on the Internet.

sad to see the ending, but a GREAT story! I actually have wondered SO MANY TIMES how does dark link feel? And now i have your opinoin on it. the fear of water was a nice touch too ;) i swear i made a - ripping heart out- motion when i read this was the last chapter.
