It was a beautiful read, filled with such raw emotion. It touched me deeply and I am thankful you have written it.

AshlynnElizabeth chapter 1 . 4/5/2008
Wait, this is excellent, but I am confused? Hes sad yes? and (just trying to clarify) because aragorn is dead right? (gah, yes yes, I am stupid)
Konoko89 chapter 1 . 5/5/2007
Very sad but very good! You are very good at writing sad stories. It makes me wonder if you write stories with happy endings for the two? Well, since I have taken it upon myself to read all of your LotR I will soon find out! Good job.
darksaphire chapter 1 . 2/16/2006
"wish that i could cry,

fall upon my knees,

find a way to lie,

about a home i'll never see,

It may sound absurd...but don’t be naive,

Even heroes have the right to bleed,

I may be disturbed...but won’t you concede,

Even heroes have the right to dream,

It’s not easy to be me..."

just something that I just happend to be listening to when reading this story.
Sadie chapter 1 . 4/7/2005
Lovely! Thanks for sharing... I've already read it ten times!
Silvertoekee chapter 1 . 4/7/2005
Wow that was deep and so sad sniff. Way to go and liked how dramatic and yet sad it was...poor Legolas. The ending sentence was great and felt pity for the poor elf.
Kirsten chapter 1 . 4/7/2005
Very good story; you captured Legolas' feelings accurately and described them vividly. One reading this story can feel like Legolas would in this kind of situation; the death of a friend. Continue you writing!

I much agree with the first reviewer. There is little new now in this fandom on ffnet that is worthwhile reading, but your stories are always well written and moving.

What you have achieved is a very realistic description of someone who hurts so much that he cannot give in to the grief - because once he does, he knows he will go to pieces. And Legolas also knows that he is facing an eternity without Aragorn, may this be as friend or lover, it really does not matter.

And yet, grief is the only path to healing - without grieving for the death of a loved one, no healing is possible. Therefore, as with many of your stories, I find the end bittersweet - sad because of the depth of grief, but there is also hope that by grieving Legolas may find a way to go forward and eventually be able to cherish the memory of his friend without this devastating grief.

What you accomplished was to breath some very fresh air into what is posted on this site in the name of Lotr's. I find so little here that is satisfying anymore, that I must tell you I felt great satisfaction upon reading this vignette.

What sweet sadness you have captured, the loss of a friend and the eternal years left in which to contemplate the loss. The emotions are so elven, Gimli sketched so perfectly, again I say a truly fulfilling piece. You have crafted your descriptions so that we may feel the wind on our faces, taste the salt of the sea, revel in the beauty of the morning.

Thank you for sharing. L-L
