AshasCadence chapter 26 . 2/4 Ahhhhhhhhh is this story on forever hiatus?! I must know more! |
monay9e chapter 26 . 2/8/2019 Please finish this story. I can't wait to see what comes next. |
1WhoLoves2ReadAlot chapter 26 . 11/28/2016 Awesome story, so far! Love it! Hope you get a chance to write more. How will Anise get through her time at the medic, her personal guard and the yautji? |
Mal chapter 26 . 4/7/2016 Ive enjoyed this story of yours years ago when i was younger. I just reread it and im in awe of this world you've created. You must continue! |
somby chapter 26 . 1/4/2015 are u still there? update pls? |
IvySpencer chapter 26 . 1/1/2014 Epic. Caught up again. Will wait for more always. |
GrayHuntress chapter 26 . 8/30/2013 I'm so happy to be reading this. Your writing is simply beautiful. I will have to go back and read this from the beginning as I have forgotten much of it. I hope that you will continue to post - perhaps more frequently? |
Squidgal chapter 26 . 8/30/2013 This reads like a quiet interlude, but it's filled with a tense atmosphere like the calm before an impending storm. The only point where I felt at ease was during Escthta's time on the river. As always, thanks for sharing! |
Bree chapter 17 . 11/7/2012 This story hardly compels me to want the yautja saved-and I'm a yautja fan. |
Stupe chapter 25 . 9/24/2011 Wow. Though I'd found this story months ago I don't believe I've reviewed it before. Your writing style is wonderful. I'm an avid and voracious reader, and most stories come across like candy for me. That's not a bash on their writers, just an observation. While often enough enjoyable, I can blow through them in a short time. Reading your story, however, is like sitting down to a fine dinner in an expensive restaurant, if that makes sense. It advances with every chapter while filling in blanks and introducing new intrigue and depths to the world and the characters. And your use of language and words to describe is amazingly good, forcing a speed-reader like me to take it slow and really just luxuriate in your sentence structure to get the full impact of what you're creating. I guess what I'm trying to relate is that it's obvious that you take time and care writing each chapter and it shows, making me take my time reading. As for the story itself, I'm hooked and fascinated. Your characters are so real I can believe they're alive, and I mourned H'chak-di's death like she was an old friend. Brave of you to dare to eliminate a main character, and I, for one, will definitely continue to follow in spite of it. Your story is just too darned good to stop reading. I love the concepts of the gods being real and choosing to communicate with their subjects, I'm intrigued by the concept of Paya's avatar and her machinations with the all-male council, who all have their own axes to grind. You have created an amazing and believable world full of individuals who are all fascinating in their own rights, and blended them together beautifully. Truly epic. My only complaint would be the long waits between updates; because of the complexity of the story I lose its full measure and impact, and because it's so lengthy going back and re-reading the entire saga isn't feasible each time you post a new chapter. It's only a minor complaint, though, because I will eagerly await your next chapter, and one day when it's all said and done I'll be happy to go back and read it again...especially now that you've mentioned you're going back and tweaking the earlier chapters a bit. So to sum it up: thanks for sharing this story. |
Fantine chapter 25 . 8/22/2011 I am so in love with your story I don't even know where to start. I read The Quality of Resonance all in one go, almost nonstop, over the last 3 days. I was never into this fandom, but your story has dug its claws deep and dragged me under. I can't even begin to describe how emotionally invested in Escthta I have become. I've read the Resonance Gaiden, too, and feel like I can fall for Cthinde as well. I love how you've made him a very different character from Escthta, but I have a feeling once we get farther into the story Cthinde's character will be fleshed out until it is as intricate and comlex as Escthta's. Sorry that this is kind of a review for two stories in a single review - I am not at my most coherent after almost 3 days straight of reading! My eyes are watering and hurt like hell, but I am still hungry for more! So I wandered over to the Predaphiles forum in hopes of finding more fics by you, or fics of equal quality. It will have to tide me over until The Quality of Resonance or Resonance Gaiden is updated! :) |
GrayHuntress chapter 25 . 8/2/2011 Wow, just finished all the chapters. Just an excellent story Sealink, even though I was sad at the death of the ooman. But none of us knows how much life we will get. I look forward to the rest of this well-written and refreshingly original tale. |
GrayHuntress chapter 12 . 8/2/2011 But I LOVE your information bombs! |
GrayHuntress chapter 10 . 8/2/2011 I thought this an excellent chapter, but then I love information as well as action. I enjoyed the explaination of Yautja evolution especially. |
GrayHuntress chapter 5 . 8/1/2011 I figured that was why Escthta didn't know what a human female looked like. Great action in this chapter! |
