I liked it so far. It helps to know where a charactor is coming from. That is why the best Novels are usually the long ones. : )

As someone that has had to read through several "Jim and Blair Meet for the first time" stories I can tell you that any new perspective is worth exploring. Wtf. Take another shot. This was a real good one ! : )

I think things are moving at just the right pace so far. It is nice to have someone that is into charactor development. : )

Just read the whole thing and I really enjoyed it. The use of the alternating POV's was an interesting technique that worked well for this type of non-action story. Thank you!

A pair like Jack and Jim had two ways to go - near instant friends or near instant enemies. No middle ground.

I like that this chapter has more actual dialogue and less stream-of-consciousness. (A little stream-of-consciousness goes a long way.)

"If he's going to be eavesdropping anyway then the least he could do is share ... it's my geek in there too." Jack is beautifully in character in this chapter.

"He just nods and I know that is not a good sign ... a non-verbal Sandburg never is."
