You say you started this in 2005. I was in gradeschool then, rushing to go home after the classes end to watch Inuyasha at home. Ahh the feels~ I'm only seeing this fanfic in 2019. Inuyasha will always be something we will always remember, no?

Anyways, I want to say congratulations for finishing this story. It took you quite a while but I really liked what you said about revising your story. That what you have written in 2017, is something you couldn't have written back in have great writing skills! I'm waiting for some great SessKik fluff which did not happen, yet I'm happy. I liked what you can learn from this story. About happiness and ambition. About forgiveness. About what it takes to be a true leader. Personally, my favorite chapter would be the one with Suikotsu's backstory.

I enjoyed reading through, making me recall every Inuyasha detail I know from childhood. At the same time, this story thugs my heart because of Kikyou. I have always always loved her character. Everything was unfair for her in the series huhu. How I wish that the happiness she found in your fic was real.

Oh, wow. I can't even begin to describe how beautifully and well written this is - without question one of my favorite stories on a whole (and that's cause all I've read so far is the prologue. haha).

I rlly like your work! Sesshoumaru and Kikyou’s character were very alike to the movies, just as Inuyasha and the others. It was hard to connect two of the same personalities (Sesshoumaru and Kikyo). This is one of my favourite story for SessKik

Although it took more than a decade, I'm still immensely happy about the story's completion. The ending is very satisfying and I just love how meaningful Sesshomaru's words are. He may not be whispering words of affection like most others but his simple "I shall take you home" is impactful. At last Kikyo has a place where she belongs, and it's right next to Sesshomaru. And while a kiss would've been romantic, I felt that you did the pairing justice by having them hold hands instead. It keeps them in character, up until the very end.

Overall, this story is amazing and you've managed to convey an interesting message. After all, I've seen many shipping fanfics where the pairings become overly dependent on each other as they beg for mutual love. But here, both Sesshomaru and Kikyo grow as characters independently based on realizations and newfound knowledge. Both of their completed souls seek to expand their horizon with each other, instead of trying to fill the holes of the other. I really do enjoy this perspective and it's a refreshing change to the many fanfic I've read (some are exceptional, though yours is much more distinctive in this regard).

Thank you so much for letting me and all the readers enjoy this wondrous tale of SessKik. It has been a pleasant and most enjoyable read.

I was hoping the end chapter to be longer. The outcome is satisfactory. Maybe there will be an epilogue?

Enthralling

Amazing! I really love the character growth that Sesshomaru goes through during the story. It really shines through this chapter, with the emergence of the Batsusaiga. No longer does Sesshomaru need guidance from his father’s blades (although it is sad to see the Tenseiga shatter, and soon after obtaining parts of the Tessaiga), as he has learned to grasp the meaning of what it means to be a true king with compassion. It’s perfect! Not to mention that I love how Batsusaiga makes its debut here! I found the scene much more fascinating than the canon’s, along with the evolved Meidou Zangetsuha that just left me dazzled. And I’m assuming that the Tenseiga broke because all of its power is transferred into Batsusaiga while simultaneously aiding the growth of Sesshomaru’s new arm.

How both Kikyo and Sesshomaru’s saki-mitama became complete through connecting to each other is very satisfying when considering all the character/heart development the two underwent. I really found the idea appropriate and the quote “Love is the product of a strong soul; only one who has more than enough strength can share it with a beloved” compliments that.

All in all, this is a terrific and wonderful chapter, possibly one of my favorites in the entire story (though I love/enjoy every chapter thus far). I can’t wait to see how you’re going to conclude everything.
