Gau, Kefka's Son? Interesting... I must wonder though. What in the world is this? is this some alternate story as opposed to the one in the game? for one, Locke and Celes have been lovers, while the whole group hasn't even met Terra. For another, Kefka had a wife AND child. I'll keep reading, but I want to know what this is: an alternate story, just a completely different dimension, or just another person making a story who hasn't played the game? (Not discriminating against those people - I did it too!)

*faceplants* I had to read the last lines twice to get their happy ending. *laughs at self* Way to slip it in.

"The man in dark blue stopped noticing green hear boy walking towards him." ... Something's just not right about that sentence, and being the first of the chapter it needs to be. 'haired' not 'hear' for sure, and probably needs a 'the' before 'green.' Depends on how you want it but having it fixed would be good. Errors later are easy to overlook but something like that at the beginning throws the whole thing off.

Just read the entire story so far from start to... well now. _ I am greatly enjoying this read. At first I was uncertain, for it quite deviates from the cannon story. Yet the characters are believable and it works. This is a very fun tale! Not to mention... it is the only thing that has ever made me think a Relm & Gau pairing was cute. As much as he is different from the cannon Gau, it works.

Constructively... your story could stand some better proofreading. There were many times as reading it that I noticed wrong words were in a spot -likely where spell-check may have auto-fixed to a wrong but similar word. I'm not recalling a particular one off-hand (I have been on & off reading this story all day whenever I had a moment) but it was more than a common occurrence. Also, I wonder if your 'a' key sticks like mine, making it not function properly. For example in the last paragraph "Why don’t you go take shower?” would probably be better "Why don’t you go take A shower?” Considering it is Edgar not Gau who says it. Simple things like this I noticed throughout. It is not much, but it would greatly enhance the quality of your work.

All said & done, I am loving reading this story & I eagerly wait the next installment. _ Still waiting for where Shadow & Interceptor fit in, or if Strego will make an appearance. Must say... I was more than a little surprised for CYAN to have been Relm's father here. *laughs* But then I am a bit of a Relm-fanatic. I do hope she will eventually paint? *hopeful* I've felt since my first time playing this game on the NES when it was FF3 (suddenly feels very old) that her pictomancer skill was never allowed to be all that it could have been. But I'm quite biased. ;)

I really enjoy the romances - since their histories from the game aren't intact, I enjoy the fun pairings (Celes & Sabin, yay!). Gau's turned out to be a sweetheart.
