*cracks up* Ha! Love it! Especially the ending! In all honesty, the 'Sam/Ba'al' piece of the summary rather scared me (o.O) so I had to read it. After all, not exactly a common pairing, is it? But this was very well-written, suspenseful (to say the least), and was ended perfectly. Really, I don't think anyone could have pulled off a better ending. *snicker* 'Darn boots' indeed... Well done!
