Every paragraph you wrote just hit harder and harder. Nice touch with the metaphor of the sun, by the way. It fit with the pathetic fallacy quite nicely.

But altogether, bravo. I read another fic from Nino's perspective on about the same subject, and it came close to what you have here. But that bit at the orphanage...

This story twisted me inside, and oddly I feel at peace reading these melancholy tales. I like JaffarxNino, and I'm pleased to have found this. You never know what gems you'll find when sifting through the older archives. Everything made me feel a sense of loss and despair, which was the point, and I loved it. Jaffar's drab existence, soldiering on through the eternal night. It's a poetically tragic image, I enjoyed this story. On a note that doesn't have to do with empathy, I liked how you portrayed Lugh and Rei. Also, including Lucius made me happy, thanks for that. In the end, I guess this is all I have. Good story.

Aww...this nearly had me in tears, sadly enough. A very well-written, sad fic. I love this couple so much...it's a shame what ends up happening. I do hope you'll continue this, and that the ending won't be so sad too.
