Can't believe I didn't see this before. It's so beautiful! I love the raw emotion it conveys, with Hector pouring his heart out to Andromache. I can't even imagine having to write a letter like this, but it happens all the time. You did an excellent job. But dangit, it made me cry! )

after reading a terrible 'letter left behind' fic I accidently mistook this for the same thing and avoided it for a long time. I'm glad I finally read it. How well you capture the sweetness and tenderness in the way Hector loved his wife. His concern for what would happen to her without him there to protect her and I love the way he talks about how dead he was inside before she came along. How much she's given him in the time he's had with her. Ending it 'until we meet again' is perfect. Beautifully done.
