Beatuifully written. I hope you still consider updating at some point, I'd love to see what happens next

So, I know it must be weird having someone review a story written 7 years ago (omg seven years!) but I'm having a new-hp phase and stumbled upon this story. I'm enjoying reading it, but I wasn't really going to say much (chances are you don't get notified anymore) until I read this chapter.
I decided I will write you when I was reading the conversation between Lily and James. It was wonderful, and so natural, flowing just like a conversation between too slightly tipsy people who are attracted to each other. I know I've had similar conversations before. And reading it brought back abstract and vague memories of feelings I had in those pre-relationship stages, where you're excited and terrified and on emotional and sensual overdrive.
So yeah. Kudos, it was wonderful to read.

When are you gonna update?

oohhh..i love this fic..it's darker than the nornal ones, but it makes it feel more realistic...like i'm watching a movie. i love your james

i've never seen anyone capture the essence of Dumbledore's personality as well as you have. I really wish you would update I really really like this story :'(

Honestly one of the best stories I've ever read. I'm eagerly awaiting an update! This story is so fantastically written- I don't see how you could have abandoned it (although I understand that life can get in the way).

Your story is amazing! I love the concept Rowling outlines of the First War and the involvement of Harry's parents' generation, but only your fic reaches into that potential. And then some! I really appreciate how you develop your characters and the dynamics between them beyond the shallow snippets we saw in Snape's 'worst memory'. Your concepts for the inner workings of the pureblood class are perhaps even better realized than Rowlings (pure genius, making Malfoy and James related, although in retrospect it seems so natural). Generally, fics only hold my attention if they have lots of awesome action sequences, but I read yours avidly from start to-well-what should definitely not be the finish. I've wasted huge portions of my life reading through multitudes of marauder fics, and yours is the only one worthwhile (although that doesn't encompass how truly amazing your fic is). Please, please update someday!

This story is one of the best I've read in a long time. I love the way you portray James-the internal conflicts, the mask he puts on for others, the way he attempts to carry on with his life while he's constantly dwelling on the fact that times are difficult and the uncertainty of survival looms overhead. I liked the unique way you painted his family situation, and your characterization of the marauders seems to be spot on. Thank you for sharing your beautiful beautiful work with the online-reading Harry Potter community, and although I'm not sure if you've given up on this story because of the long hiatus, I do hope you decide to continue writing, and I eagerly await (assuming there is one) your next installment.

Lucius really freaks me out. Mrs. Potter is a former Malfoy? Interesting, interesting. I suppose she has to come from somewhere, since the Potters were a pureblood line for a while. Excellent chapter. It gave me chills.
