Wu-Dog chapter 7 . 12/11/2005 I loved this story! Yes, Mustadio needs to be the hero more often, and what a perfect hero he is! |
Evil Mina chapter 7 . 5/9/2005 Sorry for the delay in reviewing; I had a lot of work this week. So I guess it's a very belated happy birthday. Enjoy your legality, and then sulk about the fact that had you been living in Canada, you would have been allowed in bars three years ago :p. And a great closing chapter. I love the whole Mustadio-Ramza interaction...and the Mustadio-Reis interaction...and the Mustadio-Agrias inter- well, you get the point. I especially love Ramza's brooding. And was the end of this chapter a reference to another fic you're planning ;)? And as for the fic in general...great. It was so much fun to read, and there were a lot of funny and clever lines that I noticed on a second readthrough (and a few minor details that I missed the first time around, proving that I am the world's biggest moron; so *that's* why the Glabados icon was on the floor.) You're great at these psychological analysis type fics. Ugh...NOFAs. You had to bring them up. I can just see it now: an evil, barefisted archer dripping in oil, sicking a swarm of Infertile Porkies on Garfgarog, only to get whipped by Nena's Axe of Doom. Yet another sign I spend MUCH too much time on GameFAQs. Damn...and I have to go. Sorry if this review isn't very constructive. Until the next time you write! |
Jomah chapter 1 . 5/7/2005 Sorry if I haven't finished reading your story, but it was cool... Mustadio "fighting" against Meliadoul and Agrias... and Cid... that's about it. |
Mavina chapter 7 . 5/6/2005 Kick. ASS. Reis and Mustadio as the main lead just blew me away. Great fic~. |
MogGuy chapter 7 . 5/4/2005 I like your Reis stories. Do you plan on doing more? |
TobyKikami chapter 7 . 5/4/2005 Well, what can I say? Regret creeps up on you sooner or later, doesn't it? Poor Mustadio. *sets up a tent outside UFC (Something-starting-with-U Fried Chicken?) and prepares self for next update* |
Would you kindly delete this chapter 7 . 5/4/2005 Are you certain you're not confusing me with someone else? I mean 'thoughtful reviews'? I'm capable of that? Well, at least I'm glad you're giggling. I was worried I angered you. I didn't put in a review because it seemed...inappropriate. But if it pleases you I can always do so now. Your view on Mustadio and the 'little boy' mentality is quite amazing. You can just imagine everything. And the adaptation of sayings like 'It was water off a mind flayer’s back' is a nice touch. Just like your descriptions 'just like the whirling steps of the ice guardian. Shiva danced, and he shivered in her wake.' instead of just saying that he's cold. Adds some...flair to it. I could argue that the demon isn't, or wasn't, a Flan because it doesn't exhibit Flan-like qualities but that would be rather trivial. Besides, while it is somewhat odd for a Flan to be capable of that it isn't entirely out of the question. Aside from lovely music CC also has an undead Flan enemy (aptly named 'Dark Flan') and after living a good one-thousand years it is possible to develop/evolve in rather different ways. And of course your lovely sense of humor. ' And the moral of the story is don’t piss off dragons, even if they look like Barbie dolls' Reminds me of that age-old saying: 'Do not trifle with the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.' As for the epilogue... I don't think it is necessary to repeat how descriptive you are. Well, maybe just one more time. Your attention to details is amazing. The conversations between the various characters is what you'd expect from them. I especially liked Agrias' comments about being yourself. And the one about apologizing but that's more because of...circumstances. And of course the inclusion of Worker 8. It's in the spirit of the whole 'liking the lesser characters' subject (well, at least I like him) but I do believe he's gotten more mentions and screentime in your fics than the entire FFT-section put together. It's a bit of a mixed feeling though. On one hand it's a shame this story is over (who ever said all good things must come to an end is a $$hole...and damn right too) but on the other hand it also means UFC is coming back. And while I agree with Viktor Mayrin about logic not fitting in (having logic in games would probably mean no over-the-top magic, insane moves and (most importantly) no inhumanly attractive and/or incredibly cool characters) I think the spell guns are designed to handle multiple types of bullets. They are capable of firing magically enchanted bullets (which cause the spells) but those would be hard to come by so they should have some kind of backup. Of course your theory is also quite feasible and certainly gives Mustadio a degree of uniqueness. Oh, and one more thing... *dons 'stylishly' pointy partyhat* Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Tenshi, happy birthday to YOUU*coughhackweeze* ... *ahem* Right. Looking forward to UFC. |
ViktorMayrin chapter 7 . 5/3/2005 Logic! In a video game? It doesn't belong there. Nor do the laws of physics for that matter. Or proper body proportions for that matter. Anyway, good point though, with the Elemental Guns. It sounds really interesting. Oh, and Happy Birthday! You are now: Leagal. ~ Viktor |
Cake Dance chapter 5 . 4/28/2005 Maa, maa, sorry this is a week late. I'm just recovering from a really, really bad cold...The only thing that remains is a really bad cough, yay! That demon is such a pervert...Especially when he said “But even with over a thousand year’s worth of souls to enhance my power, you’re rather difficult to penetrate.” The whole scene with Worker 8 and the red panther left me breathless with laughter. (and coughing.) *imagines that there's a large number of misc. monster parts strewn in a circle around Worker 8 and the unconsicous party members* I sorta cried (a little...) in the end of the chapter...When Reis realized that she had no wings...When I stop procrastinating, I'm going to make fanart of Reis as a tribute. Wait, all the Zodiac signs are all off by one month? ...Wow...Now I'm all horribly, horribly confused... |
Luna Crescent chapter 6 . 4/28/2005 I knew something was up at the beginning of the chapter when I realized it was a past memory. The 'he really does have a regret!' thing would have been far too obvious and weird for you to write, so I was happy when Mustadio turned that around (though I gotta say, he was an adorable kid). I love his logic, too, which may actually stem from envy because don't I wish I could be that carefree. 'Dad can’t walk without five steps without his cane.' I think there's an extra 'without' in that. I have about the same workload (a lot more in Lit. but less everywhere else) as previous years. I suppose the only difference is I know what I'm doing now (apparently enough to have perfected procrastination). But it's mostly been AP stuff and film projects. The latter has been a nightmare because one person in each of my groups insists on doing nothing and screwing us all over. They're both due the second week of May and one of them still isn't done yet. AP exams start next week, and my Lit. one lands right on senior skip day. A good chunk of our seniors are AP students (all the rest are honors, as I said, we like to think we're elite) so we're not very pleased about this. I wish I could go to other cons n.n I'd love to see Sakamoto Maaya live. 19 more days! Oh, and I read that fic you reccommended. O.O Wow. That's all I have to say. . |
Evil Mina chapter 6 . 4/28/2005 Whatever happened to the days where I gave *short* reviews? I'll try to keep this brief, especially since lately my brain has totally shrivelled up to the point where I can barely form coherent sentences, never mind give constructive reviews: Your characterization of Mustadio kicks ass, as usual. His childlike thinking in the flashback was humourous and well done. I love the way you portrayed his feelings for his mother, because they were so realistic and complicated; in real life, people aren't heartbroken over someone they've never met before, and it's understandable that he'd feel guilty for not feeling more strongly about his mother's death. The confrontation with the flan thingie was pretty good, and some of the dialogue was hilarious (heehee, "faith gives me indigestion" - yes, I'm a sucker for campy one-liners). Damn...so it wasn't a Bone Snatch...or Kanbabrif...or Dycedarg's long-lost Elder Brother. I had my heart set on a cliched Star Wars ending. And I guess that resolves the whole "Agrias as mildly OOC" issue once and for all. My apologies. Thank you for explaining that part to me. I was just wondering how Cid and Agrias could both be possessed by the demon at the same time. Random other thing I don't get; how didn't the demon know that Drift 33 had been destroyed, if it could read Mustadio's mind well enough to know that Drift 33 had existed in the first place? (Me, a nitpicker? Never!) Other completely random question (not a criticism or anything, just a random detail I'm curious about), why did the demon lie about Orlandu's torment? Why did it make a difference if Mustadio and Meliadoul knew if it was Balbanes or Goltana? And the irony. I actually made the bus this morning, but I managed to miss it on Wednesday anyways. *Sigh* I have a talent for missing deadlines. Can't wait for next chapter! And...that wasn't very brief, was it? Oh yeah, and kern is God. |
MogGuy chapter 6 . 4/28/2005 What? You didn't fail! If anything, it's my fault! There were just some parts I didn't understand what happened. I hadn't realized Reis was uncomfortable with her form. Looking back, it's pretty clear. Like I said to fighter-chick, I was in a bad mood that day, so I was probably focused on something else. Anyway, good chapter. And thanks for the summary! |
TobyKikami chapter 6 . 4/28/2005 I don't know whether to be upset that this is going to end, or happy because Une Fleuraison Constante is going to continue now. If I remember correctly that spot's on the big island in the river. There's a certain place where you can have Worker 8 jump on, but it can't go to any other part of the island, jump back or go into the water. Mustadio's and the demon's lines here are all great. As usual. As well as the demon's explanation for disliking Lucavi. And the ending line... heh heh. This was well worth the wait. |
Would you kindly delete this chapter 6 . 4/28/2005 I apologize. I got carried away to much. Won't happen again, I promise. And to clear things, the actual review wasn't an afterthought. The problem is that I can go on about random things but I can never find a good way to describe how much I like like your stories. |
ViktorMayrin chapter 6 . 4/27/2005 Well, that was cool. I love your interpretation of Mustadio's 'Seal Evil' skill. I'd always imagined some kind of bullet that was dipped in Holy Water or somethin', you know, like Alucard's bullets in Hellsing (actually, he had a melted down silver Winchester Cross, but hey...). Hm... and undead flan. Nice. Anyone want purple jello? ~ Viktor |
