I loved this unique pairing and the way you came around to it was smooth and slick. But I must admit...the confrontation with Hakkai/Gonou was the most delicious part. If only you would write more about the war for Gojyo! This was so good...please continue.

Amazingly in character and just wow, isn't Hazel the queen of the mindf-k? Loved the beginning, amazed that Gojyo went there, but you did it so believably and that exchange with Hakkai! Powerful.

I love how you portray Gojyo. So... timid, and in need of forgiveness. I really really liked this pairing. I'd like to read more of it.

Holy cow! That was absolutely amazing! I have never read something put together so well before! You are most definitely one of the best authors that I have ever read!

I love the way that you incorporated Gouno as a different entity that could be awaken from within Hakkai as well as the way that you had all f the characters act next to exactly as what they would have if placed into these situations! Their personalities are next to being exactly what you would expect they would be in the manga or show if this was ever to be aired!

I am like amazingly impressed! Awesome work, if you can make a sequel it would be a wicked read!

This is amazing. Very, very well written, with excellent characterisation.

You managed to convey Gojyo's vulnerabilities without making him appear weak, and Hakkai's dark protectiveness and jealousy was perfect. Hazel's motivation was good, too. The whole set-up and tone was entirely consistent with the original.

It's also really good to see someone noticing that although Gojyo is half-human he's always identified as youkai. I've often pondered that myself - it fits perfectly with his insecurities. Of course Hazel is very cunning and perceptive, so it makes perfect sense that he should raise it like this.

Amazing! This story renews my faith in good story-telling here on Goyjo wasn't the only person mesmerized by the bewitching Hazel. The angst, comfort, and Hakkai's jealousy combine to make this a shiver-inducing story. Wonderful mix of dialogue and action. Keep writing! Meanwhile, I'll go read the story again.

Oh! So many nuances! So much characterisation! So beautiful! And painful! There were knives in this like none other - I'm deathly envious and still buzzing. Of course I can't get over the Gonou referencing. It's a gorgeous thought and a leap you make easily. 'Scuse me while I try desperately to stop drooling.

Yes. Wow. I'd never figured the fiction would end up where it did, but I'm glad it has. So much delicious ten-n-n-nsion. It's good when people quietly fight one another and you've done so well with it. Kyah.

I can't say I'm actually a fan of Hazel, but there's something here that's just so gorgeously DANGEROUS. And the ending, oh, the ending! I'm assuming (hoping!) that there's more to come, yes?

And as much I doubt that Gojyo might ever actually go with Hazel or BE with Hazel in any real capacity you manage to make this work. Hazel's manipulation of Gojyo's fears, especially since, "One protected old wounds. One curled around them whey they were threatened and lashed out when they were prodded." Oh, he's good you're Hazel. Very good.
