As far as your problem with the dying line...look at it this way. His old self was dying, the one who was lost in the shadow of Gozaburo.

He was closing the chapter on that...not dying in a physical sense, but releasing the old life. I think the song is way appropriate and your style was good. This was well written and very enjoyed by me!
