this was really really cool. well done :)
Perching Kite chapter 7 . 11/23/2007
the way you portrayed the schism in Graendal's mind sparked a gigantic plot bunny in my own. would you mind horribly if i used your fic as a bit of a reference for my own? you'll get credit, etc etc :)
Seriodor chapter 5 . 8/7/2007
um a sidenote, instead of swords the weapons people would be training with would be shock lances. Robert jordan said on his website that fighting didnt degenerate to swords till the finals years of the war.
Mask1 chapter 15 . 7/13/2007
A throughlym enjoyable ride. Sad its over. You have written well and finished well. I look forward to your next piece, whenever it should surface.

Nice finish. I really enjoyed this story and I'm glad that you've finally brought it to an end.

Amazing work.

Cat Alex chapter 14 . 6/8/2007
Mwahaha, oh Semirhage... what a loon. Excellent writing as to be expected of my bro. Bit annoyed that you can't do anonymous reviews (not that I would have, but it's the principal). Spelling and grammar are A-OK and I love the line about how you don't have to be mother to smile (chills).
SmurfKiller chapter 14 . 5/22/2007
Semirhage is especially freaky when you describe her with a smile. I'm impressed at how short these stories are and yet how much information a reader can gather about the psyche and character of these Forsaken. Too bad there are only 13 Forsaken (or are there?). This would still be an excellent collection of short stories no matter how many Forsaken there were.

Yeah... pretty sure I wouldn't go to her for a check up.

Another good chapter.

Mask1 chapter 14 . 4/18/2007
Great fic.

'Killing was as easy as dying, and any fool could do either;' sounds Jordanesque another great use of quoting... or just a great touch. Either is good.

Love the way you portray society. It has not changed if someone is useful we will avert our eyes and overlook their faults to keep them on our side and being useful. Very true of today.

Clever. A satisfying piece.

Otter Seastar chapter 14 . 4/17/2007
Oh Semirhage, what's to be done with you?

This chapter elegantly elucidates the most tantalizingly mysterious of the Chosen: seemingly invincible in her fearsome and shameless power but fueled by her own deep weaknesses. Magnifico. Thanks for taking the time to explore these great characters.
Jattel chapter 3 . 3/20/2007
I love how you set this up, with Quotes from 'The Forsaken' starting out your story. I must say though, it lacked Asmodean's feeling for music to start off. Something like when Rand told Asmodean to play something that made his soul weep and Asmodean took the request personally and actually tried to make Rand's soul weep. That scene showed especially the deep love Asmodean had for the music he played. It showed his attention was fully on the music and he loved music more than anything in the world... and not so much impressing people.

Personally, Asmodean was and is my favorite character, and I have read and reread the Wheel of Time series and I think Asmodean loved music more than he loved impressing people.
Otter Seastar chapter 13 . 2/17/2007
A very interesting set of insights into the minds of (in my opinion) RJ's most fascinating characters. I love reading stories from a villain's viewpoint, and these little gems are most perceptive and well-written. I appreciate the quotes from "The Forsaken", which add authenticity to each piece. The chapter on Aginor was too short, but then I can never get enough of him. Greatly looking forward to reading about Semmirhage!
