Sorry, let me take a few breaths because this story HAS GOT ME WHEEZING! The setup, the growing bond of Snape and Harry, it's just so- so THEM. I can't explain it. Your writing has me drowning in love because it's not like Snape suddenly did a 180 and all, Harry and Snape both learn more about each other and their relationship develops extremely realistically (as realistic as Harry's soul being torn into 3 and put back together can be I guess). Your characterization is done perfectly! The emotions expressed, just- UGH THANK YOU FOR WRITING THIS! 3

Wonderful short story

I was hesitant, at first, with how the story started but it proved to be worth the read. I’ve been reading a lot of HP stories during this quarantine and this one is an added bonus! Not only was the story interesting and kept me drawn in, but your ability to maintain the intended character personality and still work through new character development is very well written. I look forward to reading the sequel :)

Years and years and umpteen re-reads later, I am still so in love with this story. That scene with Snape - despite all his grumpy resistance to being Harry’s Acolyte - rushing panicked to wake the boy from the brink of inexistence is so BEAUTIFULLY done. It’s one of those moments in FF that stands out to me DECADES later. You hit gold with this series and I can’t wait to continue my walk (read? ;P) down memory lane. Hope you know how very appreciated your work is even now, 15 years later!

Good story so far, except this last scene of ch. Well, this was forced drama. There was no reason for Snape to stand around having a discussion, instead of racing back to safety.

Epilogue review:

I love petunia in this! Would have loved to see a moment with her upstairs.
