You are totally right. Meg Cabot even says it in her chatroom book club thingy for twilight. She said he reminded her of a jerk she knew (possibly dated) and she basically had nothing good to say about him, saying that a guy like Paul only liked "the chase" of it...although in the series there are subtly hints of Paul being a sort of decent person.

Ouch...that was...janky and messed up of Paul to say.

It makes me sad that he could think that way...

I have had the same fear that Paul would do that. But in my mind I quickly shut out that thought becaus eI love Paul and don't want to think about all the bad things that he could do. I know that I am probably in denial but come on. I liked this but again I really don't want to think of Paul like this-lol but this was done in a very good way and I love it.

Truth is, none of us really know what's going through Paulie's head. You could be totally right.

But in Twilight, he just, like, gave up. He didn't even win. And that's not the Paulie I know.

But this Paulie right here WON. But now tat he's won, he doesn't have anything to do. See, that's why its really hard to do anything PS in fanfiction. Because once everything's said and done, the author's left going "Now what?"

As, probably, would Paulie do.

In fact, most fanfiction ending PS has Paul smirking victoriously to himself, saying how he's won. But it all just ENDS there. They never go on to, like, a week later just to check up on the couple. It's just, "HAHA I won, Jesse lost, Suze is mine MUAHAHAHA. Now I can go and continue being my hot shifter self and make out with Suze whenever I want. Teehee."

I must admit, that would be a little anti-climactic. Unless Jesse fought back and became evil and manipulative. But that's just not Jesse...right?
