Reviews for Absolution
Ariall chapter 1 . 1/31/2009
I really loves this story (I have to admit it, I read it numérous times XD), it was very well wrote and I thought the same way about that scene

I have the same opinion than you about Snowe, he's my favouite too because of the same reason, so, thank you for having wrote this wonderful fanfiction .
VeiledDarkness chapter 1 . 6/10/2007
Wow. Very nice job with this. I could, literally, /feel/ the emotion.

I like Snowe, too. He comes off as a characters that actally thinks the way many people do. He's not some untouchable hero that can never be hurt, or never feel any pressure, or never make a mistake.

This is a great story. I really like it and am going to favorite this. Nice job on a wonderful fic! _
Gabie chapter 1 . 5/19/2007
The detail that the game never gave! (And the hero's speaking & emotions!) Thank you for bringing more depth and life to the Hero and Snowe-I always hoped that their relationship would be developed more in the game. Thank you so much for writing this story!
Runess Flect chapter 1 . 4/22/2007
(aka rar) YAY! haha suikoden iv. bad ratings, but fun nonetheless. this is a completely useless review as i dont want to spoil the scene when i can get 108 star (but yea i know its snowe). yes he's realistic, but he put me and my character through heckav a lot of pain in the game. -.-;; haha. must read this after i finish the game.

and im glad that you're alive. :D i havent checked up on ur fics in awhile. T_T i really miss looking at an update from ur fic that's oh uhm.. within a few months of the current date. please update it soon. its wonderful. xD
Readasaur chapter 1 . 4/4/2007
Love it. I was really hoping someone would work on Snowe's character a bit more.
fireseal chapter 1 . 2/13/2006
What can I say, it's just beautiful.

I loved Snowe, found him twisted in a very real, convincing way, and I loved the way you captured him. The pride, the wall, the emotions... *hearts*
PyrrhicVictories chapter 1 . 11/11/2005
That was lovely. I'm a big fan of Snowe myself, and I like how you've developed him here. Nice work!
Dracis Tran chapter 1 . 8/17/2005
Wow. I'm glad someone was able to grab one of the well-developed parts of Suikoden IV. And you took it and made a well-written piece out of it. Well done. Better, you realized that the Hero is not mute (pet peeve of mine, I must admit).

I guess the only thing that I would like you to think about this story is Snowe's look back onto his own actions. I don't know if he would have realized the impact of certain of his actions before he joined the Gathering of the Stars. Maybe illustrate how he came to the conclusion about the ultimate impact?

Anyway, very enjoyable.
Nips chapter 1 . 8/4/2005
I was never so fortunate as to recruit Star 108 (DAMN YOU YOU STUPID CATS AND YOUR RETARDED SEAL), so I'll only have to imagine that this is how his attitude was. Heck, it could be canon for all I know. I will take your word for it that he became very likeable in the end, though I will have to disagree with the "human character" comment in the very beginning of his development ("But... but... my arm!"), but I guess he got to be okay later.

In any case! I like how Hero4's and Star108's personalities bounce off of each other here, and how Hero4 eventually wins Star108 over. Indeed, "a little sappy, a little angsty, a little fluffy." Very well done. :)
Mithrigil chapter 1 . 7/25/2005
...Wow.

This is truly beautiful. Fantastic! (I'm trying to find some note of criticism and coming up dreadfully short.)
Ria chapter 1 . 5/16/2005
*glomps* I love you! This is a wonderful story! And it reminds me why I keep being drawn to Snowe in my love/hate relationship X3

*hands her cookies* Bravo to you! I love the story! Keep writing!
Neko chapter 1 . 2/17/2005
I'v been really obssesed with Snowe for a while now, It's funny really-after the whole betrayal thing I tried to hate him and it backfired!(although my initial immpression of him was positive). I started to really like him after that...ha! It's funny really.

I'm very appreciative of you for writing that fan fic, I had been looking desperately for anything about Snowe. You should write more! it's very good.
HeroGenkaku chapter 1 . 2/13/2005
This was a real treat. This was exactly the way I pictured Snowe and how he'd act. You've also captured the essence of the Hero who is always faithful (which is a common trait to all the suiko heros).

I had a tear or two at the end as the hero was always waiting no matter how long it took for Snowe to understand.

I look forward to more fics from you. You have quite the command of the english language. I'm so happy you put in a little bit of Somber Ted there.
Catherine Rain chapter 1 . 2/12/2005
O. Very nice.

I like your description of the silence. How, in an uncomfortable silence, one feels not only the silence and what is behind it, but is struck by the prominence of the background noise.

Poor Snowe, when his voice cracks here, I think that's perfectly appropriate- usually I'm like "argh, characters stammer too much," but with Snowe post-recruiting it really shows the fear you always know is behind his voice.

Although... okay. A bit of total nitpickiness on my part- rest assured, I'm only getting this nitpicky because I like it very much so far. I'm not quite sure he would go so far as to flinch when the hero touches him, unless he's flinching in literal pain from the sunburn, in which case I feel like you should... clarify that. (In fact, erm, why DOES the hero poke his sunburnt friend? That's not very nice, lol, even though it seems like the hero is trying to be nice.)

"in pure reaction, as if we were once more friends sharing in mirth and teasing, as if nothing had happened between us, as if I hadn't chosen duty and pride over friendship and faith. As if I hadn't betrayed him." -I really like this part.

Another picky thing: parentheses shouldn't be necessary in fiction. They're an expository writing thing. Most books don't have them, and they're not really necessary. You could have written the same words without them. You might choose to use them stylistically anyway, but I wouldn't. That's just IMHO, I suppose.

I really like the utter cluelessness of Snowe when the hero asks him to go along. How he doesn't understand the forgiveness he's getting. He's such a social retard, it's clear that he's not easily going to understand people's motivations, or the subtle messages of friendship the hero's trying to send. If he understood these things, he might not have been the jerk that he was through so much of the game, and even though he's admitted that he's wrong, understanding won't come overnight.

I also really, really like that the hero is that accepting. The way it's all laid out here: he knows that he's not OBLIGATED to forgive Snowe, that Snowe himself wouldn't have done so, and forgives him anyway. That, to me, is at the heart of the Suikoden 4 story.
Briar Rose chapter 1 . 2/11/2005
Wow... thank you so much for this fanfic. ((Go Ted! *dance dance*)) I really did like Snowe, because we can't all be the Hero. I love his one line, "Why does everyone flock to you, but always leave me?" Snowe just needs a lil' love... *huggles Snowe plushie* I mean, everyone makes mistakes... *huggles Jeane Plushie* Hur...
