Would Lee and Admanda ever gotten together if Billy had not been there to give them a push? You might take up that question.

A very nice idea for a story. I definitely think there was a limit to how much time Amanda would give Lee. A few comments/suggestions. In the beg. Amanda says she has waited three years, which to me is the end of third season. By the end of third season, they had already gone a few dates, gotten very close to kissing in Utopia Now and Amanda MET Paul in EARLY third season. So I would encourage you to either label this as an AU, or make it clearer that this story is set at the end of second season, perhaps by mentioning Burn Out or Vigilante Mothers in some capacity.

I felt Amanda and Lee's involvement of Billy in their love life was out of character and akward. Amanda NEVER confided in Billy regarding her relationship with Lee. As for Lee, his silence generally said more to Billy when he what he said. I felt the pacing of the story was a little abrupt, I would have liked a little more romantic tension b/t Lee and Amanda, more *wonder* in their kiss.
