*Whew!* We DID get a happy ending, despite an evil, masochistic author, stringing us along! ;-)

Erik/Remy is definitely one of the best Erik/OW pairings I've read so far. She has the best mix of grit and intelligence combined with a loving heart, making her more than a match for Erik than he could've imagined any woman having - especially one he'd fall in love with. :-)

I know this wont be seen for this fiction was written almost ten years ago but, what ever became of the murder charges?

I liked it but you rushed the ending and Remy is too much of a MarySue .

I found your story earlier this week when I was looking for something new and complete to read...needed a little Erik. ;) I very much enjoyed it! You have so much to be proud of with this being your first effort. (Mine wasn't half as good!) Anyhoo, I hope you've continued your writing. You have real talent, and I'd hate to see it go to waste. I know I reviewed this chapter already... I had to sign out to submit another review... but I went back and read your story again and I was struck by how deliciously reminiscent your last scene is of the last scene in the BBC version of North and South. If you haven't seen it, you should-if Pride and Prejudice is one of your favorite novels you would LOVE North and South!

And, by the way, your story is just as exciting and fantastic on the second read-through as it was on the first. :)

Poor Erik. He's unused to any form of comfort. It's unsettling him. He pissed off Remy and I don't think he understands why. LOL

Wow, your little sister is good! It's a very cool rhyme. I think Erk was overcome by Remy's kindness. He's unused to it.

How sad her father never knew her, how terrible he never took his responsibilities towards Remy's mother, but he was an irresponsible man. For Erik, love is very precious because he never had any, for Remy's father love was worthless because he could have it so easily.

Of course it was a shock killing a man, even if it was in self defense. What's worse for her is she wished she could kill Leon instead. That's normal, he's trying to have her killed.

Phew! She wasn't bothered by Erik's face.
