Very good, and very appropriate. It meshes with the original tone of 1984 extremely well. Beautiful job.

This was awfully good and rather chilling, much like the book. Very effective doing it through a child's eyes, and an impressive ending.

I like how you implemented the right mood without being too contrived. Your style flows like Orwell's, but with its own superimposed quality. I like this a lot.

This short story has all the drama and energy of a few action-type epics, and then some! Incredibly dynamic, more than a little depressing, and I felt it fit perfectly with 1984. The fact that this doesn't seem to be your homework assignment only works in your favor. :) One thing, though: When the telescreen talks at the end of the story, isn't Rodney's last name spelled with a 'k'? All in all, a wonderful story, and I must thank you for writing it.

Wonderful little story. It's well told and I love the way it plays out, the characters seem well developed. It seems like you could keep going with it if you wanted. I really enjoyed it. :)
