BlueWater5 chapter 1 . 3h Great story! I read this years ago and it stayed with me. Nice portrayal of the divisions that remain after a war ends and of the wounds that need to heal. |
Guest chapter 16 . 4/19/2018 This was a great little story especially if you aren't sure what to read. I love the realistic view and use of the names of the bones that were affected. It gives a clear point of injury. Also loved the unique curse that you invented at the beginning. That action scene as well was well described. I liked this story, it had believable and touched on tough issues that one experiences with recovery. Thanks for sharing this story and I hope you still write fanfictions about my favorite character Severus Snape. I am happy I came across your story. Applause from this corner! |
Guest chapter 12 . 4/19/2018 Having to use a wheelchair for the first time can feel very embarrassing. While using crutches can become exhausting and killer on your hands. I damaged ligament and tore my Achilles tendon at the same time in my right ankle due to a very stupid accident. There was complications in my recovery causing my therapy to be pushed to a later time. It was a long six months and had to basically learn to rewalk. Finally moving on to a cane then freedom. I feel for him having to face stairs and large amounts of walking. Tiresome. I like how you also mentioned phantom pain which can occur in lost of limb. Love that realistic approach to your story. Sorry, I am carrying on. I am off to the next chapter. |
Guest chapter 11 . 4/19/2018 About the children appearing bad, I think it is perfect. I heard people say worse then pretend like nothing happened. Besides, Snape is not popular by the student body and strict no nonsense teachers are usually disliked. You captured that culture perfectly. |
Guest chapter 8 . 4/18/2018 Lentil soup is good with ham or bacon. Never been to Austria though and didn't know the dish originated from there. Thanks for the fun fact. Still Loving the story. |
Guest chapter 5 . 4/18/2018 This is great, love the idea of sepsis from the mysterious curse and the traumatic fever is perfect. He would have flashbacks and nightmares after everything this character has been through. I honestly don't think he would be one hundred percent himself if he lived. Loving the story so far with the unique approach to a curse/problem. |
Guest chapter 1 . 4/18/2018 Nice beginning, love the action. |
scgaraycochea chapter 16 . 5/4/2017 Hi! I love this story, specially the way you deal with the limitations of lost a leg, and the psicological effects on the person. Thank you for share this beautifully writen fanfic. I apologize for the grammar and spelling errors in my review since English is not my language. My regards |
BlueWater5 chapter 16 . 12/19/2015 Great story! |
fictienthrall chapter 6 . 11/6/2015 I'm liking it. Not too far out of character. Snape may be bitter but he will cope. He is not a suicide candidate, nor does he worry about how he looks to women. He is a prodigious chemist and will survive and thrive on his abilities and interests which this will force into wider expansion. At least, that's my projection!-) I haven't read the rest yet and it's too late tonight to continue. But I promise to return;-) |
Becky999 chapter 16 . 4/23/2014 This is a brilliant story. Loved the ending. |
Catlady1960 chapter 16 . 9/8/2012 I liked your story very much. I liked Snape's and Kingsley's interactions. I also liked your handling of Snape's injuries and Pomfrey's care of them. |
Anna chapter 1 . 8/1/2012 "Psychical" is not a word. It's "psychiatric." |
Kniga-Sitara chapter 16 . 10/23/2011 Thanks for this very nice story! I love yours idea about Kingsley! |
Dara-si chapter 1 . 1/14/2010 very touching and nice...I really want to have Severus alive |
