Wow, this is so incrediblt in character for both L and Matsuda. And, you've got some impressive complexities woven in yourself, how L is so simple-minded and so is Light, even though they're both geniuses, and how L is the only one of the two who recognizes that he has simplistic, juvenile ways of thinking.

It is sometimes said that justice is devil's domain. That's what your fic reminds me of.

I think I've never read something as funny as this, that was so serious at the same time!

I mean that glimpse was like a stolen moment that would make L ashamed for the rest of his life if it was known about, and just this thought is enough to make me smirk and have bad ideas XD I love it!

Hahaha, that dream makes me laugh. But you make a good point: Kira and L do think very simply and just use complex methods to go through with their plans. Then again, what motive is terribly complex? There are only a few motivating forces within human reach, and all are rather simple concepts, even if the actions that follow them are not simple at all.
