This is the 3rd fic I ever read of this fandom. The 1st was many, many years ago I can only remember it was about Misao; the 2nd was more of a... cameo of Kenshin in a fic of other fandom so I doubt it really counts. I'm not sure about the slash in this, but I like how it is progresing, and I really want to read more of this. Hopefully I will... someday...

This is by far one of the greatest AU stories I have ever read.

I suppose at this point it's rather useless to follow the story, since it hasn't been updated in so long (but we will always have HOPE). Just wanted to drop by and say this is probably one of the best Rurouni Kenshin fics I have ever read, seriously. You characterize everyone so beautifully! It really feels like this is what could've happened if circumstances had been different and Kenshin met Sanosuke first. And I love the bit you put in about Kenshin's past! I don't think many people remember that Kenshin was a slave boy at one point. It makes your story feel all the more real. This should be canon, really! By any chance you receive and read this review, please just know how much I enjoyed your fic and that I wish you well!

yes this is amazing i really love how you have writed this can't wait when kenshins identity is out and no one really cares. also their relationship with each others are great. Hope you will continue this because it really is wonderful even if you have started this a long time ago please continue so i have a peace of mind how this will actually go instead of me wondering what could happen. again thank you for writing like said please continue this wonderful story:)

Aw man, what's probably the best SanoKen story in this fandom, and it hasn't been updated in years. D:
I like how patient you are, a lot of the yaoi for these two are rushed - like it's the whole, only, point for writing for them. I also like that you bring up Kenshin's childhood as a slave and kept it a part of him. It never really comes up a lot, in canon or in fanfic - it's a little strange. You would think it would have made an impression on him, no matter how short his time with them might've been. It wouldn't have been a pleasant experience, eventually forgotten.
The change in how they all met is very interesting. Just waiting for Megumi now, bringing in the Oniwabanshu and Sano's friend Tatsu. Since you're writing primarily for the manga, are Doctor Gensai and his girls not going to make an appearance?
I wonder how long it's going to be until Sano finds out that the guy he thinks is as young as Kaoru actually lived through the Bakumatsu and is the Imperialist's Battousai. (I sense teeensiiioooon)
There are tons of police around, I assume it's Aritomo Yamagata lookin around for Kenshin? What're you going to do with Jin-e and Saito? C:

I'm kinda disappointed if you won't continue this as I was hoping to see their reactions when they found out that Kenshin is Battousai

Are you planning on updating? Probably not, saying as it's been 8 years and all. Still, if you ever feel like posting a new chapter I am certain that many of your fans/readers would be ecstatic. Myself included.
