I friggin love the "interwoven time" thing: cause and effect not presented chronologically is wonderfully disquieting, in the sense that it forces me to keep my guard high

But... GIR... ;-; Also, wouldn't Dib need food and other things?

I really liked this story. I don't know what to say other than it was very well written, and that I'm incredibly excited about the sequel. :D
The only thing that confused me was the bit when Dib got injured.
I realise the vision was a foreshadowing of events, but I'm not sure what the voice was and everything.
I suppose it may be explained in Penumbra? :)
Anyway, adding it to my favourites!

This is the best Invader Zim fanfic I've ever read!

I enjoyed reading this fic quite a lot. I enjoy the interactions between Dib and Zim most when it becomes a push me/pull you competition type of friendship...

I have a confession to make. I am a lurker. I do NOT de-lurk even if I really love a story. And yet here I am, reviewing your story.

This has to be one of the most accurate future-fics for IZ ever written. It plays out with uncanny attention to all detail and with meticulous consideration for all the nuances of character interaction. You really have a gift for writing clear, readable prose with involved yet elegant plot lines. I love the balance between Dib's journal, the past, and the present. Zim's actions and words are true to character. (So are Dib's, but I think zim is harder to write correctly due to his completely alien outlook.)

Also you have captured the dependence I have always thought that Dib and Zim have to each other; neither really able to live without the validation and rivalry given by the other.

Very well done, and I can't wait to read the sequel!
