I think for Naruto to step out of his father’s shadow and become great is to vary his skillset. In the anime Naruto made a variant and completed the rasengan, i suggest, since naruto is leaning heavily on taijutsu, that he adds clones together with his taijutsu style. The flash only affects opponents (its a genjutsu) and would add his unpredictable-ness from cannon to your story, also since he already started training on using different jutsu and you havent really told us which element he thinks is easier to use, i suggest that his affinity would be fire. Since most the time he uses fire jutsu and i havent really paid enough attention for the other ones. His variation could be swirling mass of fire natured chakra, a fire vortex thats compressed... for hinata though instead of learning super strength she can adjust it to her taijutsu, regular juuken to incapitate, added strength to kill... maybe make her learn poisons and the like...

I think the term you’re looking for isn’t ‘kinjutsu’ but instead it’s ‘kekkai genkai’ a kinjutsu anyone can learn whilst kekkai genkai are for specific bloodlines, like the sharingan or whatever bloodline you gave Naruto, also a kinjutsu can be learned by anyone but has a higher fatlity rate if you fail, if you learn the fireball technique and fail you burn your thorat, if you fail kage bunshin you run out of chakra and die
