One of my all time FAVORITE poems is A Dream Deferred by Langston Hughes, so I LOVED your inclusion of it here. Even if I don't love the context.

When I was reading this chapter, it did not seem I could tell what side of the argument Max was debating at first, even reading the ending and going back to the beginning, I don't feel it was clear.

I think Max is being totally and completely unfair. And it's one of the reasons I, myself, have always been pro-choice. Do I agree with abortions? No. I wish that no one would get them ever. But I also understand that EVERY situation is different. And it is not mine to judge someone on a choice they made. Especially when those same people aren't going out to make our foster system better for the kids that are already here. Add on top of that the fact that abortions would still happen rather they're legal or not. Keeping them legal just gives woman a safe place to go get them. So with that said, I could never in good conscious not be pro-choice. But that's neither here nor there.

I get Max's stance, truly, I do. But it's not his to judge Liz for decisions she's made. He wasn't there, he does not know what went into those decisions. And had she had a baby, he never even would have allowed himself to fall in love with her. So to me, he's being the BIGGEST of hypocrites! You've chosen the perfect song here, 'you love me but you don't know who I am'. If Max truly loved Liz he wouldn't let this decision change that love. Honestly, I just felt really disappointed in Max in this one. And very sad for Liz, because what she went through was awful, and she shouldn't have to "answer" to Max for a decision she made about HER LIFE!

I love that you've made this the topic of the debate in this story, I love reading both sides of the argument, but I don't think I will ever see or hear anything that will make me not be pro-choice.

It's like every new chapter I read is my favorite! Really enjoyed this chapter! Although I must admit, awkward family dinners are kind of a fetish of mine! It makes me sad that Max and Iz aren't close in this story. But I also kind of like it, bitchy Isabel was a favorite of mine during the show. I love how Liz tried to get Max's dad off his back, and I loved her being there for him in the end. I can't wait to see what she has to tell him, hopefully it's a bit of her backstory. I really felt for Max with Charlie's betrayal. Loved the inclusion of Michael and Maria in this chapter. Michael's response to about being into politics by saying does watching Bill Maher count, I died with laughter!

Numb was the perfect song for this chapter! I'd almost forgotten how much I loved it when I was in my emo teenage years. But even now in my late 20s it's still SO GOOD!

LOVED the Dawson's Creek reference as I was also WAY into that too back in the day! I've always loved the 'will they' 'won't they' of Dawson's Creek because it didn't end the way you'd think it would, but it ended EXACTLY the way it should have!

I really enjoyed this chapter! Loved Max's creativeness with the game! I thought he was going to try to kiss her butt! lol Love tha tLiz is coming out of her shell a little. Can't wait to see what's in her past. I'm guessing either a vicious rumor that ruined her reputation. Or a possible rape and abortion? Can't wait to read the rest and see if I am correct.

I really enjoyed this chapter! Loved your use of the song Use Somebody, and especially liked that Max used it when he was talking to Liz. I have 1 question though, this story says it was published in 2005. The song came out in 2008, how did you know it back then?

Other than that, really enjoying this story! Love the banter Max and Liz have built! This was my favorite chapter thus far! Though, I would have liked a little Maria and Michael!

i loved both of them opening up to each other. that was just cruel f hat happened to Liz beyond cruel and I am right there with Max in wanting to commit murder for someone who would hurt someone like that mainly a friend.
