I think police officer is a much more realistic profession for future-Inuyasha than, say...partner in Sesshoumaru's business firm, LOL. He gets to defend good people against bad people, and when push comes to shove he can even still legally kill the bad guys, only in 'self defense' of course. Nobody needs to know the bullets fired at him wouldn't have actually killed him, ;-). Plus I bet the dog in him loves the chase down, when the perp is trying to make a run for it. I wonder if he pulls back and lets the guy think he'll get away for a little while, just to prolong his fun? LOL. And in your universe, there's the added bonus of more closely being able to keep tabs on the 'missing Higurashi' case file, to make sure none of Kagome's family ever gets into serious trouble over her disappearance. They better be careful though, because if they appear to be in their thirties, and a seventeen-year-old Kagome disappeared fourteen years ago, Taro might just put two and two together and then 'Yash' would have some explaining to do, LOL.

It was really good! I liked it. It wasn't lame, it was brilliant.

I thought this was sweet. I really felt for that retiring police officer who is trying so hard to keep people safe. You resolved everything wonderfully and I also find the idea of Inuyasha firmly on the side of the law very appealing.
