I always hated Celegorm. I considered him, Curufin, and Caranthir, to be the worst of Fëanor’s sons... I feel bad now. I feel like, more than anything else, they were victims of their father’s pride and their own unfailing loyalty.
I love how you portray the grief and pain that they all feel. And the death scene specifically was amazing. It’s definitely one of the best I’ve ever read. Most people write scenes where the victim just fades away, but the final moment of panic and pain is much more realistic and befitting for such a character.

I haven’t cried actual tears, as in tears streaming down my face while I’m trying to control my breathing, over a fanfic EVER. I got halfway through this fic and then I started weeping. Brotherly love hurts me more than anything else, and, I’m not sure why, but this fic hit deep for me. I still have tears streaming down my face. This moved me in a way no other fanfic has. Your writing is so powerful, and you got all of the emotions right. Everything was just beautiful. Thank you for this:)

So sad and such a beautiful snap shot here! I often wondered what possessed Fëanor to wage war and murder over a bunch of stones and metal and then bring his 7 children into the mess! Surely the lives of 7 precious sons should be worth more than a couple of jewels!
