Holy crap. Amazing chapter! I really hope you find the time to finish this story. It has incredible potential. There are a lot of great writers on this site but it’s hard to find stories that grip the reader like yours does. Please continue it.

It’s super interesting so far. A little hard to follow at first but even at chapter one I’m on the edge of my seat! Moving on to chapter two!

So I after reading the manga completely through recently, I have officially defected over to Sesshoumaru. I guess I am not as fond of InuYasha’s immaturity as I get older. Now I am digging through Sess/Kag fanfiction and while I am mostly sticking to complete stories, this was updated recently enough that I have some hope that you may continue eventually. And the premise, along with the writing and characterization is all very promising. I seriously hope you choose to update! I even got off my lazy bum and figured out my login so I could review and beg for more. So pretty please? The scenario is so intriguing! I am guessing from your notes that you used to have more chapters posted but took them down to clean them up? If so, I would take the old chapters, whatever you have!

I really hope you will update soon. You are a great writer.

Ah this chapter was excellent! I love that Sess is still very true to his character. I love the scene where Rin ran towards Kagome, while Kags watched those creepy shadows bobbing in the hut. Agh that was so great! Almost gave me goosebumps! :-D. I like that Sess changed his mind about killing Kagome last minute. I also love how he expressed how weak her wrist felt in his hand. And I especially like that you're not afraid of hurting Kagome. Of course it sucks to see her arm so hurt and on the brink of starvation, but it makes for an exciting story. Thank you for writing this! Can't wait for the next chapter!

This chapter is a wonderful start, I admire your lovely prose, your settings are descriptive, but brief. I can tell you must of lovingly (and painfully, I'm sure) peeled back your original story and layered it with your new found writing knowledge... and life experiences perhaps? This chapter gave off a personal vibe in a sense- or maybe you're just that talented? :)

I also like your characterization of Kagome. Although possessed, I truly feel her pain and anguish as she fights in vain to both save her from the creature and herself. Although Kikyo's death clearly brought her great pain, her actions seem reasonable and her conflicting emotions are heart wrenching. Is the monster willing her to die, or is that how SHE feels? I love how you kept that inner turmoil so ambiguous.

I also like how you avoided common similes and went for something more unique- "Different currents fighting over her weakened form like a pack of rabid dogs over a scrap of meat." Now THAT was a great visual. (Nice symbolism too, given the dog demons and what not).

One suggestion I would make is this- since we know her arm/shoulder must of broken, describe the lack of it's use now. First she's flailing, kicking and fighting to stay a float, her arm breaks like the sound of branch snapping, and now she can't use it at all. Not just for obvious reasons, but you never know how much we use our limbs until we can't anymore.

I'm SO glad I found this story, you're doing a lovely job so far. :D

Your writing is really beautiful, and the suspense is killing me. I really love Sesshomaru's characterization. It is really true to the anime, how heartless, quiet, and emotionally stunted he is. I hope you will finish this story. I will be waiting! Ciao
