Wow! What a beautiful, amazing story. Thank you so much for this. I liked everything about it, the characterisations, the descriptions, the thoughts - all were spot on. I especially liked Pip's dream and Frodo's realisation that he should not say "never".

You painted such a lovely picture of the day. I could actually remember what these sorts of days felt like in my childhood, the heat and sun, and the sense that time is stretching on ahead, moving much too slowly for my taste, and yet still worth savouring.

I do have one suggestion; change "grayish" to "greyish" in this sentence: "Pippin decided that one grayish cloud, tattered..."

The American spelling of this word, as Tolkien used it in so many titles and place names, (Gandalf the Grey, Greyflood, Grey Havens for example. I have the same feeling about traveller as he used it as a title.) always jars me out of a story and makes me realise that I am not, in fact, reading a work by Tolkien. This story actually drew me in enough to make me feel that this could have been written by him, but for that one word.

Wow. Utterly breathtaking. Your ability to capture detail is amazing, and your style is absolutely beautiful. And of course the last line was the perfect button. I love how you played on all the senses- I could see and feel it all so clearly, and was reminded of lazy summer days back when I was a kid.

Wonderful story! Honestly, some of the best stories I've ever read are on this site! If I do say so myself, however, there were some seperate words that were stuch together. For example: "Frodo gently" became "Frodogently" and the like. Apart from that, a wonderful job - keep it up!
