I've drifted in and out of the Kenshin fandom several times over the past decade. Whenever I do, I always reread this story. It's wonderful.

i was looking to see if i had reviewed this and i am sorry to inform you that i have neglected to do so. i'm correcting that horrible omission now. i enjoyed your story and found it interesting that if there is will enough to live one can overcomes seemingly impossible and unsurmountable obstacles, very nicely told.

i hope you're happy, healthy and successful i also figured i would ask if you had seen seen the movie yet? the live action rurouni kenshin movie -i thought it was great, it's one of the few anime to live action movies done right! ... if you plug in the following code in the youtube search engine you can see a few of the character profile trailers in one video:

it has started to be released internationally and they've already released the dvd and blue ray in japan... there are places to download and watch it on line if you can find them. not sure where you're from but i have a link if it would work where you are... not high def but it's good quality and has subtitles (although i noticed that the subs are slightly different than the ones in the high def version... it might be a fan-sub).

Shishio's still out there, with cronies and whatnot. Unless Sou-chan can be reprogrammed against Shishio-sama, the leverage doesn't seem quite believable.. So I can't be blamed for hoping as much..LOL

I can't accept Seta to die by Himura's hands. The redhead falling, but not necessarily dying, by Soujiro's sword was rather okay .. except the fact that Kaoru would die if that happened. Tsk, tsk.. that's why I hate it when Kamiya gets a neutral role. Her safety is always determined on how Himura fares in battle. Not much fun because we can't play around with the odds of the battle. Her death is game over after all.. XD

Looks like someone might have figured out that Himura might need some.. uh, what do you call it? 'Motivation', yep that's it! XD

Oh Sou-chan.. Sometimes I forget that your almost at the edge of insanity..When you talk that way. Sometimes I even day dream about you and Kenshin smiling blissfully at each other.. Calling each other Mr. Himura and Soujiro-kun like good neighbors sharing a cup of tea..XD

Aww.. Don't you just love Shishio-Yumi-Soujiro family ties?

Mean Kenshin.. Well I guess it's more fun to leave Kaoru unguarded.. Trouble finds her when everyone tries to leave her in hopes of protecting her.. That's just how her luck runs... Unless Kamiya sneaks behind Himura that is.. I hope not.. but it might happen..

I feel so bad that Kaoru's being left out.. I really hate it when she's just an innocent bystander who got caught up in a mess.. A real turn off for me.. T_T

Megumi was awesome in this chapter. :P

I still can't accept the fact that Saito has been demoted to office manager. Maybe he's a NOC, you know a Non-Official Cover, sent by the CIA to taunt the redhead while gathering data, or maybe the taunting bit was just an initiative the wolf took...LOL, Anyway, I was hoping Kamiya was one.. Looks like she isn't.

Kenshin's might be working for an old enemy, he and Shishio seemed to have some history.. or maybe it was Soujiro he had history with.. anyhow.. it indeed was quite the thrill to read. XD

Would this be uh.. reminiscent of 'Wanted'?

I'm hoping not, but what the heck, as long as it's fun. :)

What an interesting plot. Kenshin the insurance agent... Pfft. I feel that Life Insured ended a little too quickly though. Maybe it's just me. Great job, I loved reading it~!

Excellent story. I liked the balance between action and the burgeoning romance. The only thing missing was Soujiro's epiphany, but that's relatively minor, in the scheme of things. Well written.

Uh, I'm a bit confused. They consider Kenshin as the hired assassin, how can that easily change to target?
