How unfortunate that this only lasted for two chapters. Even more unfortunate is the noted lack of conclusion to this fic. Ok, so they're okay with things as they are, but we don't even get to see the two interact with each other!

I don't care if the fic is predictable - that fact was made clear both in content and in title - this fic deserved more to it!

A very nicely imagined story and not predictable at all. For example, I'd never expect Hikari to be one of the characters switching bodies, although the little we know of her from the canon (as much as we do and do not know) does make her a good choice for this sort of exploration, given her connections with Asuka and Touji. I particularly like your beta version featuring Hikari's point of view and her developing understanding of Shinji's perplexities.

As for your title and your explanatory note regarding the same, my advice to you is to never sell yourself short. Entitling a work in such a way comes across as apologetic (as you acknowledge), and an author's persona-in the created work-should never be apologetic: as a person or as a writer _about_ your writing, do what you will, but never apologize from within the work. Don't worry if your work is the first or thousandth of its type in line; if it's well-crafted, it will stand up to scrutiny and be recognized as such (like this one, I venture).

Don't know about predictable, but this was funny as hell. The Beta is just a bit better than the Alpha I'd say, but both are awesome.

I love these crazy ideas you come up with. (Yes, I know the body-swapping idea isn't new per se, but this was developed better than any other story with a similar plot)

Seriously, so far everything I've read was far from predictable. Hikari being one of the two? Unpredictable. She wanting to fight in an Eva? Unpredictable.

No. Not predictable at all. While body swapping has been done before (or one of many other variants), as with everything else it depends largely on how it is done.

Now while I enjoyed seeing such a story without the usual 'figure some way to get back' step. After all if the crisis happens by chance, it could concievably fix itself the same way (technobabble optional). I was hoping somewhat to see the switch become permanent. It would come under the heading of 'running away' for Shinji, but as is noted by Hikari in her half, he deserves to find some happiness.
