Wow...

I love how the plot seems to be building rapidly, yet you're taking your time and pacing everything out evenly. The important points are smoothly lain out in the prose, and it all just feels so... even anc concise. I love it.

Also, I have to admit, the murderers have me curious. Not as to *who* they are, but what they *want*. It also makes a certain other character's role more puzzling as well... but that's a good thing. I liked to be kept guessing, and not given every last detail. I also like to be proved VERY wrong and have everything come out plausibly anyway. If you end up doing that, I'll probably love this story even more.

But if not, it's still a fine piece of work so far. A fantastic read after all the stress I've been dealing with lately. Thank you- this is so going to my favorites now.

Hi! ...I'm not a very good or helpful reviewer, but I'd just like to say that I really like how this story is beginning...It seems to me that most of the stories in the Saiyuki seciton are either really good or really bad, and yours is definitely the former! _

This was a really good prologue, with just the right amount of intrigue...but at least I know who the characters we're dealing with are...if that made any sense _;;

Oh well. I better stop before I start rambling about how much I love Saiyuki and whatnot...Update quickly! _

I'm trying so hard not to fangirl incoherently at the moment.

This is an extremely intriguing prelude. The reader is given information, but not so much that it's crammed into their brains- just enough to pique curiosity.

So far, the characterizations seem extremely accurate. The reader sees into Sanzo's thoughts a lot more at this point, so Sanzo, naturally, seems the most fleshed out at the moment. But the hints of other characters seem spot on. (Also, your use of Homura makes me wibble, and Nataku's appearance made me grin. He's not in fanfic often at all, and I liked him here.)

The parallels to the original Saiyuki-verse make me giggle. This is a very interesting way to parallel the plotline- and looks equally promising.

Finally, the fact that KY is going to show up in such good writing makes me squee. They're not my FAVORITE pairing, but they're definitely my favorite het pairing and high on the list, so I'm delighted to see this.
