Jax Malcolm chapter 7 . 4/23/2005
You know, I kind of feel sorry for poor Megan, what with her catching the wrong Pokemon and all.

Once again, you include a descriptive battle. I like that. Other writers tend to stick with "(insert Pokemon here) used (insert move here)," but you actually take the time to describe HOW they're used.

As always, keep up the good work. _

Ya...I know I already reviewed.

But, thanks a lot for reviewing Mending Hearts! And I didn't consider it a flame. I found it very helpful...I just re-read it and thought "OMG...what kind of crack was I on?" I don't know much about Japanese language, so thanks for the bit of info...although I still probably won't get any better...XD;;

Cool! Nice chapters!
Jax Malcolm chapter 6 . 1/15/2005
You know, it's quite refreshing to see a new trainer who doesn't quite know EXACTLY what she's doing and a Pokemon who doesn't either. And it certainly is fun to watch them take their time learning to boot. You've pulled both off so well so far, and that's enough to keep me wanting to read more. As I've said before, this isn't like other new trainer stories I've read. Everyone else seems to want to rush things or have competent trainers (sometimes with powerful Pokemon) right off the bat. Not a lot of people get that the fun part of the exposition is the minor struggles, sort of like the ones you've presented in the latest chapters.

But anyways, keep up the good work. I can't wait to see how Megan handles a match against Brock.

Hey, I said I promised to review.

I'm actually surprised at how well written this Pokemon fic is! I already explained a lot of that in LJ, but still...It's actually GOOD!

Just a favor though...would you mind reading my fanfic? It's Gravitation, but you don't really have to know the anime to read (I don't think...other than knowing the characters...which you find out in the fic anyway. )

Great Chappie!
Jax Malcolm chapter 3 . 1/4/2005
So, the nice, slow ending rolled perfectly into a journey, didn't it? Oh, yes it did. That was possibly the smoothest transition between a trainer's homelife and actual journey I've seen in awhile. Though some people (namely, those who actually LIKE the rushed horrors of the OT field) might not like this sort of thing, but taking a few chapters to help the reader get to know the characters before they start off was a smart move.

Dare I say I sense a little shoujo ai between Ellen and Megan? Oh heck. If you didn't even intend on it, I can still read too much into THAT, right?

By the way, no pages of angst over the missing father and dead mother? Dang. I was right. Megan ISN'T a Mary Sue. And I wonder if you know how refreshing it is to read that.

Overall, I must say again that I like this, and I certainly WILL keep an eye on it.
Jax Malcolm chapter 1 . 1/4/2005
You know, no matter how many times I go back and read over that part about the Charmander doll, I can't help but chuckle.

Overall, there's something about this story I like. REALLY like. It's not so much the absence of Mary Sues (though that's INCREDIBLE for an OT), and it's not so much that this story is going at a nice, slow pace. There's something else that makes this story different and a bit better than the average OT story that graces FFNet, but I can't quite put my finger on what it IS right now.

Either way, I liked this, and I'll keep my eye on it.

I like your first chapter! It sounds really good. I'm going to keep reading so you better place another chapter up soon! Ok? TTYl!
