TheDarkLordofDoom chapter 1 . 3/5/2019 Seldom have I seen something quite so hilarious. |
amlugwen chapter 1 . 2/28/2011 very clever! :D *snicker* too easy indeed ;) very funny |
aotearoan chapter 1 . 11/13/2009 fantastic. You've created a great character here and it's very funny! |
lady angst chapter 1 . 7/24/2008 Ah, what a wonderful, wonderful story. You have made me laugh. hard. I wish I had something specific to say, but it was too good to list my favorites, and certainly too good to attempt any constructive criticism. I did love the ring call with Sauron; that was priceless. |
Chathol-linn chapter 1 . 12/14/2007 A well-written and unusual look at the witch-king's identity. It succeeds in explaining why Angmar didn't finish off Gandalf at that moment on the extended DVD, and the humor was interesting enough to hold my attention from start to finish. I liked the characterization of Angmar's evil. He was a banal techno-geek and a total narcissist, clueless as to his own cluelessness. The first person point of view and modern language usage helped show it. Funny and nicely done. Regards - Chathol-linn |
JamieBell chapter 1 . 1/2/2007 Hahahaha! That was insanely enjoyable...I even felt the need to recommend it to my mother. She likes LotR more than I do, but I doubt she has ever read fanfiction. In fact, I'm sure she hasn't. This is one of the few LotR stories I have ever read, not because I don't love it because I do, but because I am not as well-versed in the terminology as some, and therefore, I often do not know what is going on. I read the trilogy twice in eighth and ninth grade, but I obviously wasn't as thorough as I could have been. This, however, I was able to understand-and I must say it was a very humorous read. You are a funny guy, Mr. Kingmaker. And very talented. I count myself lucky to be on your favorites list and must tell you that I appreciate your reviews greatly. Anytime you've got a story that is simple to understand, I will be happy to read and review, but you might have to extend a personal invitation, because I get scared of LotR fics, as I have already explained. Furtherwise-yes, I made that up-there is no such thing as being too geeky for your own good. Except I'm a bit scared of those kids who holed up in the library during lunch to play magic cards. I don't think I could've carried on a conversation with them. Were you one of them? Well, this is ridiculously long, but it's only because I've been away from this site for so long. So to sum up, you have a fabulous little ficcie right here, and I intend to make my mother read it, and I thought it was extremely funny, and I appreciated the Witch King's geekiness because I have a little math person inside which often doesn't shut up even though she can't do the really complicated stuff, and thanks again for your good reviews! Always, Margaret (who just yesterday updated her story *winks*) |
They call me Mary chapter 1 . 12/8/2005 Sorry I didn't review straight away, a tad busy... that and I couldn't be bothered to sign in... I absolutely love this story! I've always pictured at least one of the Nazgul being over-analyistic. Though there were a couple of times I had to look up words in the dictionary, my vocab ain't that big yet! The reactions the Witch King had towards his steed's head being hacked off and Eowyn being an 'attractive no man' was deffinitely unexpected but completely hilarious! I would love to see more from his point of view on things... even though he died in this story... Brillient and original idea! Well done! Mary |
Larien Calaelen chapter 1 . 12/6/2005 I read this a long time ago, but I finally decided to review it, since you always review me! I loved this. You had a lot of hilarious bits in there, and there are hardly any Witch King fics out, so this was really unique. I can't wait to read some of your other works! |
Avalon Estel chapter 1 . 11/2/2005 Wonderful fic! The idea of Nazgul having a party and Sauron asking for a "status report" is hilarious. I also liked that the Witch-king referred to Pippin as "the shorty". "Yes, dear, I can certainly see that." That line was great. The Witch-king even *thinking* the word "dear" is so OOC that it's IC. All in all, this was a very original idea executed in a very fine manner. Marvelous job! Good luck in the Mithrils! ~Avalon |
Guest chapter 1 . 4/27/2005 It is awesome! Splendid. Perhaps the best humour story on the net. Please, write more of Wikkie's POV. You make him so REAL! Take the hunt for the Ring in the Shire, the Bruinen Ford etc... PLEASE! |
Lady LeBeau chapter 1 . 1/21/2005 This was fun! _ The Wraith's thoughts certainly explain a lot! And I love how he was referring to Krihtuzg like a car. _ After reading this, the movie battle is beginning to make sense! :D And it did cheer me up. Once agan, I am in your debt due to your mood-elevating fanfics. Since I'm back in a good mood, I think I'll read Wings tomorrow. Look for three reviews tomorrow afternoon! *waves* |
Werecat99 chapter 1 . 1/21/2005 Hehe! This was great! OK nothing original in the previous statement, but it was. Loved Wi-ki's POV. I'd like to see more regarding that flaming sword, because the whole scene pissed me off, but I enjoyed this anyway. Alas, poor Wi-ki... Girls should not play with big swords... |
Erestor chapter 1 . 1/17/2005 This one was great! Even better than 'The Terror and the Teeth', in my opinion. I don't know if I have time to mention all my favorite parts (it would take a while), but I certainly enjoyed reading about the battle from the Witchking's point of view. I liked the way he over-analyzed everything, and I liked him saying 'meh' all the time, and I liked Krihtuzg and his reaction to her tragic death. The 'playing to an audience' line made me snigger, but mainly I liked the Witchking's over-analyzing of certain Movie-moments that didn't make much sense. My favorite lines: 'You might think that I could come up with something wittier given that I’m about to eliminate one of my master’s most obnoxious foes.'(It would certainly have made the scene more interesting if the scriptwriters had come up with something witty for the Witchking to say.) 'He’s speaking, ‘Oaths ye have taken… Fear no darkness… Fell deeds awake…’ and such inspirational drivel, when suddenly a dark and fell deed drops out of the sky and swallows him whole. The men are terrified.' (I think I like that line so much because it would have been such an anticlimax to that scene, and I imagine that the expressions of Theoden's men and the movie-goers would have been quite similar. Very shocked.) 'What kind of fool crowds the horses together in the face of a mumakil charge?' (I had wondered that too. Thanks for pointing it out.) And my very favorite line: 'He’ll probably expect me to try something different, tapping into my vast reservoir of mace combat moves. Well, guess what, buddy? I don’t have a vast reservoir of moves.' That one made me laugh. I know that if I watch RotK again, that's the line that's going to come into my head. Thanks for writing that! It was a very entertaining story. |
swoobleswirl chapter 1 . 1/15/2005 This is really good. The Witch-King has a real personality and he is amazing. I like it. I like him. I like the story. Am I being repetitive? _ anyway, it's really good, I would say write more, but he's dead... swoobleswirl |
Voldie on Varsity Track chapter 1 . 1/14/2005 Haha! Rather hilarious! |
