Amazing story! I just wish that it was complete. I understand that sometimes life gets in the way, I just hope one day this story with gain an ending. Hoping to see an ending within the decade.

What an absolute shame this was not finished! I don't know if you even check these responses nor do I know if you will get this one since I am only a reader. What a wonderful story! I love that you have given Jack the infinite levels of his personality and that he is so comfortable with himself. I love the many layers that you have given the story itself. I can finish it myself in my own mind, but I will regret not being able to read what you would have done, particularly with the relationship between Jack and Will. I certainly hope that you are still writing. Your imagination and your use of language are exceptional. Thank-you for a story that although unfinished, is such a memorable one.

"shouldn't have questioned you" indeed. he didnt' even want to apologize. eh. things seem to be turning out alright regardless. and as per the voodoo rituals; yes, i've never heard of the chicken thing, but there are many things they do in villages in the east and in africa that are quite true, can be proven. many refuse to believe or entertain the thoughts, even if they have not trouble believing more ludicrous ones about other religions, but it's all quite fascinating, if not a bit scary. looking forward to an update. :)

your Will does seem awfully self-righteous. extremely naive as well. honestly, did he think that jack managed to be the most feared pirate without ever killing? and just because he kills doesn't mean he isn't a good man. honestly, it scares me that people (i.e. Will) can condone killing of some, say, any fellow pirate, but then a slave owner automatically becomes an "innocent" man. it's a perfect example of how right and wrong is subjective, and at least Will is realizing that he indeed has no right to judge Jack like that. you have to accept the good with bad in people, after all.

well, at least they got that sorted out. they obviously don't love each other with all their hearts though; at least not anything more than chastely cuz then they would have worked it out; compromised more for each other, been enough for each other. but it's still nice they parted on good terms.
