it was nice to read a review of the time before neo about trinity and cypher because it was obvious that there was a history between the two

as for the actual story...it took place as the title implies, during the night shift, or switching of shifts

it was a bit weird to see this kind of attitude that each person was giving each other

it was somewhat indicated in the matrix (original) that there used to be some kind of a thing between cypher and trinity in there sparse conversation that they had

i guess that this is a romance which occurs and then dies and this story would happen to be the beginning of it

sooner or later it obviously died and then neo came on board (but it was probably before this that cypher had plans to go back to the matrix) who trinity just decided to fuck sooner or later in a 10 fricking minute sex scene, in second matrix movie

having neo there either just complicated things because morpheus claims that he is the one and is the only one (no pun intended) to stop cypher or better because cypher then has the hapiness of blowing somebody up who quite possibly be the one

the story was not horribly constructed

it was nice to hear something different trinity say to cypher other than "Goddamn you cypher!"

other details: story 8 years before neo and mouse is 8 years old, i guess thats right
