Reviews for Extermination
Guest chapter 21 . 12/16/2018
This story was a masterpiece
Rainbow Color Warrior chapter 1 . 3/10/2013
Interesting first chapter. I wonder if Stryker will be revealed to be the one who gave Wolverine his adamantium claws like in the movies. I'll keep reading.
TopHat chapter 11 . 7/2/2010

Anyways i'm off to read some fluffy Kurtty to cheer me up

Cheerio!
Obiwanlivesforever chapter 40 . 3/13/2010
I was planning to write a very long, well-thought out and organized review of this story.

But I can't.

This story has left me speechless. It has made me scream, sob, and laugh. It has completely redefined every standard I had for fanfictions. There is NO WAY that the genius of this story can ever be summarized; perhaps on the big screen (that would be SO awesome), but not in a review limited to so many words.

Simply put, it was perfect. Quite a few spelling and grammar mistakes, but no matter how the words were spelt and rearranged, they were the same words and told the same story. A story I will never forget. This is blasted amazing. I've never felt the same way about a work of fanfiction before, and I dont know if I ever will.

So thank you for putting this wonderful story up and having the perseverance to write it all, beginning to end. Thank you for the amazing journey. Thank you for the sobs, the screams, the joys, the hurt, and everything that came out of this. It was awesome.
Obiwanlivesforever chapter 6 . 3/11/2010
OH. MY. GOSH.

I don't even know how to describe this. It's SO good. The amounts of raw emotion you have put into this nearly drove me to tears on countless occasions. I cannot believe you managed to kill so many characters in so little time. The words I want to use to describe that heartless William Stryker are not ones to be published in a review, even for a T-rated fic. And the soldiers shooting the bodies just made me so angry ... those are innocent children, you evil, heartless-(*calms down*) Anyway, I'd been searching the Evo fanfics for a long, tragic, completed story set after Apocalypse and dealing with mutants vs humans, and I've found it! Off to an excellent, compelling and tearjerking start!
Marcus S. Lazarus chapter 40 . 3/11/2008
Damn...

OK, now THAT was a good story!

Just one small problem; you seemed to overuse ellipses at times, but it was so minor I could easily ignore it.

(Of course, I also wasn't exactly happy about you killing off Rogue- Agent-G's 'Spider-X' series pretty much made her my favourite character in the show, and I've always found her a rather appealing personality in general-, but since it HAD to be done in order to make Mystique's change of heart authentic, I can deal with that.)

The plot you create here is excellent, with some brilliantly thought-out plots and character interactions from beginning to end. The inclusion of X-23 was a particularly interesting move, and the bond that slowly but surely developed between Mystique and Logan was another promising idea (I'm just glad you didn't make it romantic; it might have been interesting, but I think there are some people out there who just work out better as friends than lovers).

Plus, of course, your moments with Kurt and Wanda, Kitty and Piotr and Scott and Jean were an excellent touch; in the midst of a war like this one, it's always good to see that the heroes remember to take some time out to remind themselves that they're still human.

In the end, though, nothing reflected the acknowledgement that mutants are people more than the moment when Magneto showed Pietro and Wanda photographs of their mother; even after he denounced the human race, he still remembers the woman he loved all those years ago.

And as for Stryker...

DAMN, that guy was an asshole.

I mean, he does enough research to know about the circumstances behind Apocalypse's awakening and the Phoenix, and yet he doesn't care about the fine details behind them coming about in the first place? For crying out loud, he almost certainly KNOWS that the X-Men only participated in helping the bastard wake up because Mesmero hypnotised them, and he STILL accuses them of being dangerous?

And as for all that crap about mutants being automatically dangerous because they're, by 'definition', not human...

I've always adhered to the philosophy that if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we at least have to consider the possibility that we have a duck on our hands. In the case of mutants, they walk like humans, they talk like humans, they (For the most part; Nightcrawler, Beast and Toad are SLIGHTLY different from the norm, after all) look like humans, and they can make logical thought-out arguments in a debate; that sounds pretty human to me, as far as I'm concerned.

Oh, and don't even get me started on his talk about a 'preemptive strike' because he wanted to stop them doing damage. If you're going to start killing people because of what they MIGHT do, then the entire planet should commit suicide right now; to a greater or lesser extent, we're ALL capable of causing damage to others.

Plus, of course, there was his whole 'unite the world in fear' thing that definitely made him a complete basket case; did he honestly think that after he'd eliminated this batch of mutants he'd be able to just sit back and not have another generation be born to kick his ass?

In a nutshell, you really created a BRILLIANT villain in the guy; you explained his reasoning for his actions in a manner that allowed us to easily see his point of view, while still making it absolutely impossible for us to find anything even REMOTELY redeemable in him.

Tricky thing to do, in my opinion, but you did it very well.

Hope you keep up the good work!

(Just... don't make a habit out of killing Rogue off, please?)
Itallia chapter 12 . 1/6/2008
Yeah, and that aircraft's not going to be too hard to notice. I'm pretty sure that none of their powers can cloak things. Hopefully Magneto finds them first.
Itallia chapter 11 . 1/5/2008
This really isn't looking good. I thought Jean would have the foresight to check the shopkeeper's thoughts, just to make sure he wasn't suspicious of anything. Good thing she can alter his memory if need be.

The Professor could probably get ahold of Jean, or vice-versa, if they got close enough to each other.

Using Xavior as bait...unfortunately, it might work, at least for the X-men. Raven might be able to convince them that it's just a trap, but...then again, even if they did consider the possibility, or know it, I bet they'd still go try to rescue the Professor. Heroes to the core.
Itallia chapter 10 . 1/5/2008
I get the feeling that if Stryker knows so much about the Apocalypse events and such, then he'll know where the X-men hid the first time they were exposed. I bet they get found.
Itallia chapter 9 . 12/30/2007
I'm now wondering if Charles is part of one of the phases of Stryker's plan.
Itallia chapter 7 . 12/30/2007
Kurt better be using a faster-than-normal hand pushing to start his heart, 'cause I get the feeling that Pietro's runs on a different tempo than the average person's.
Itallia chapter 6 . 12/30/2007
Oh boy. They better do some fast thinking. Maybe Kurt can transport all of them down to the hanger?

So the Morlocks are all gone. I'm surprised that that one guy who can sense the presence of people didn't catch on to their ploy sooner.
Itallia chapter 2 . 12/28/2007
I guess Kurt and Kitty would be the only ones who could survive that. Magma might survive heat, but explosions are quite different. Everyone else doesn't stand a chance unless perhaps they were in the cerebro room, and even that's no guaranteed to stand up to Stryker's attack, esp. if he has so much information on them. He probably planned for the bombs to either completely level the place, cerebro or no cerebro, or made sure that at the time of detonation, no one was present in the cerebro room.

I the Brotherhood house got the same treatment, I guess Wanda has a decent chance to survive with her abilities. I'm not sure how powerful the Blob is, but Toad's definitely dead, as is Lance. Pietro might have zipped away if he was able to see the bombs coming, but odds are he was asleep.

I'm curious how Stryker plans to take out the sewer dwellers. You can't drop bombs all over the sewer lines-you'd blow up the city as well.

And now we must wonder how other mutants who are still in hiding are going to react. If you're going with the number in X2, then there are quite a few mutants.
Itallia chapter 1 . 12/27/2007
Huh. It's definitely an interesting start. I'm curious how all this information was obtained. I suppose using other mutants to spy on the unknown ones would work, or carefully watching the few news reports and gathering information from that and eyewitness accounts, but I get the feeling there's been some pure-human reconnaissance going on here...
Simply an Author chapter 40 . 4/5/2007
Well, this story has definitely given quite an impact on me. I applaud you on your marvelous writing skills. And without a doubt, you are one of the best writers whose stories I have had the pleasure to read.

I especially like the reflections(something that I always take time to do from time to time), and the character development. The battle sequences were good, and I especially like the way you describe the X-Men's feelings and their descriptions.

Now a days, I only see the dialogue and little description on the surroundings and little attention to feelings in some stories.

All in all, you've made my day. Well, two days. I was so engrossed with this story that it took me only two days to finish; one fifth of yesterday and the rest today. Only a few stories ever do that to me.

Congratulations on finishing the story, and I look forward to reading more of your stories(although I think I've read more than half of 'em already).

Oh, and note this; although I don't review very much, I'm still reading and appreciating your stories. Best wishes, and good luck with all of your upcoming stories.
