Excellent take on the MLC! OMG, this was wonderful! Even though Hermione's speech has quite a lot of info, it wasn't dull at all to read; it brimmed with personality. Likewise, Snape's personality was great too. Really great one-shot! :D

Very interesting story, which I have come upon just this afternoon as you flagged my stories, and which follows some of the same trains of thought. I've been puzzled by the popularity of the marriage law trope (forced marriage along lines attempted only by the most totalitarian regimes, as setup for true romance).

The thing that's delightful about this story is the amount of historical and theoretical backstory that's packed into the interplay between two highly intelligent interlocutors (I almost wrote 'adversaries,' but it's only the _manner_ that's adversarial). The closing lines of dialogue are marvelous.
