I greatly enjoyed reading your new drabbles, brilliant as always.

Dear Altariel: These drabbles are very good, and it was a pleasure to read them. "The Power behind the throne," a.k.a. Boromir-successfully-takes-the-Ring, was the most powerful, IMHO. It was also the scariest. Yes, Frodo and Gondor became "peaceful," with the "peace" of death and slavery, respectively. Had that occurred, the Free Peoples would simply have overthrown one Dark Lord and replaced him with another. It is very impressive that you were able to express this in just one hundred words! "Of herbs and stewed rabbit" was technically a crossover with "Watership Down," but it was still good. War affects even rabbits. "Not all the birds are to be trusted" was a drabble that I do not understand at all. I realize it is bird-related, and I got the impression that an eagle was involved, but otherwise, it is too obscure for me-or I am too dense to comprehend it. "A Mending of the Fellowship" was not only particularly good, but a nice way to end the series of drabbles. Faramir's understanding that they all had a part to play in what happened and how things turned out, as well as his apparent realization that even though he was not a part of the Fellowship, his own deeds were important too-plus seeing that Frodo has apparently forgiven Boromir and remembers the elder son of Denethor with fondness-all of that in just one hundred words, is quite an achievement! What a great little drabble - The power of Morwen Steelsheen and her influence on the young Eowyn, and tying Morwen's character to Eowyn's future love of Gondor and its Steward. Very well done!

Wonderful Faramir drabble!

I love all your drabbles, especially these with Faramir and Éowyn.

The girl Morwen raised is Eowyn, isn't she? I'm assuming she is, since as far as I know, Morwen is Eowyn's grandmother.

Well, I stand (majorly) corrected. And this story from Faramir's POV makes a good deal more sense, as well. : )

Took me a few readings to get the gist of it, but once I did, it creeped me out. Altariel, is this going to become a habit?

Yikes. I just literally felt all the blood go from my face. Excellent for that request; I have the chills.

Sounds like Aragorn is waging war on his father. : (

But still the White Tree does not bloom. (Gee, I wonder why?) Shows Aragorn isn't happy with what he has yet- next he'll try to take over nature itself. Doesn't bode well, not well at all. : (

Sweet last line. That's all I can say.

Lovely. I like how the last two topics could be either Faramir or Aragorn speaking.
