I love this, it is so hilarious!

I love Gaelic - it's a pretty language. Complicated, probably (I've not had the opportunity to learn it yet - and that which I did learn always reminds me of Elvish...), but pretty nonetheless.

A poisoned potion prithee send me,

Misplaced words quick spark tragedy,
And mishead jests can call Death's kiss.
A words once heard in place of others
Can result in sorrow mourned;
But as long as a translator's handy,
The mistakes can yet still be borne.

I was rereading my earlier reviews and found this mess:

What in the WORLD was I talking about? *laughing* It was funny though - and surprisingly made sense...

Now, don't be hasty... *Grins* That quote is used up about as much as the 'there will be a day' speech from the end - they're just so applicable to reality!

I wish I had access to the things that I do now before - that I could have begun learning languages earlier. Now, I've the resources, but not nearly the time - why does it work out that way?

I will envy Faramir his opportunities (not the least of which is his birthplace... *smiles*)...

*smiles* One should not speak secrets in a different tongue unless one is COMPLETELY certain that the other cannot at least understand it...

Although, it does afford humourous situations - especially in this case!

A desire to know everything... There's just so MUCH to know! *grins*

DEFINITELY one of my favorite chapters. EVER. Right up there with the Sharpe ones (with some very sharpe quality) and the first one and probably all of the rest.

And I'm finished... Wow.
