I don't have much time atm, so sorry for making it quite short. Your Fic is fantastic! I love NicolaixKarin and the many other reviews here I have read make me really wonder, why there are so few Fics with this pairing even though there seem to be some supporters.

Aw, I always loved the opening part with Nicolai the most (oh wonder) and it's fun reading about it in this form, with Nicolai's thought and all. I like the way you potrait (Oh dear, is there a past form of that word? I'm not English P) him and I desperatly hope that thsi wasn't your last Fic about him. Geeze, guess I have to read your other SHC-Fics as well, they sound interesting.

Oh, and I really love how you managed to integrate the game mechanics (the leaves and everything) into the story. I always wondered how people would explain that. (especially with things like monsters dropping random items... It's like a FF7 flash movie I saw, in which the guy was making fun of that concept. He was like: "Yes, I know. I have no idea why these random animals would be carrying 148 Gil and a magic Fire Ring. It will forever be a mystery..." :P)

You are not not the only one who supports this relationship. I think that Nicolai would not have turned evil if he would have gotten a little love and support. But yeah... I think that it could have possibly worked out between the two.

Hey, I'm a Karin X Nicolai fan too! It's really a shame what happens to him though...and that the end has to turn out the way it does...;_; But despite that fact, I hope you keep writing! I'd love to see more of these out there!

Yes, I want the pair so much, I was angry when they have to kill Nicolai, I mean he was one of the reason I continued playing even after getting heartsick (I missed Alice!) in the hope he'll be a reformed character later on, I mean it was hinted that he liked Karin right?

I'm glad you wrote this, Nicolai seemed a real nice person, over ambitious perhaps, but nevertheless he seemed to care for Karin.

Wonderfully written. My only comment regarding the grammar is that you may have used a few too many commas at times. There were a few sentences that just ran on for what seemed like forever. But overall, it was very well done.

I like the subtlety of the story and it definitely makes me curious about Nicholai's role as this story progresses. In fact, as I play through the rest of the game for the first time, I may have a different spin on things that are being said. That's never a bad thing. I like the pairing.

I will definitely be reading more of your fics in due time. I don't want to spoil any storyline for myself, though, so I'll take my time. More Karin, that's my last comment. There can never ever be enough fic with Karin as a main character. :)

Do not fear, you are not the only Nicolai/Karin supporter out there! Personally, I think they would have made a great couple if he had not been such a dumbass at certain points in the game. (The dream scene was pretty sweet though, don't you think?) I just think that Yuri will never be able to get over Alice enough to love someone else. But that's just my opinion. I would love if you wrote another, more in depth, story like this one, please.

Wow, very good job with Nicolai. That really feels like how he would act. I also like how you covered "leaves" and such, translating game mechanics can be particularly tricky. Bravo.
