Good. Depressing yet strangely plausible

Damn you for making me feel bad about something connected to Evangelion again... Right now i have an uneasy fealing in my chest. Why couldn't you write something happy instead? I'm not saying your fic is bad now, cause it isn't (not really), i'm just saying it made me feel bad. Evangelion continues to affect me.
Asuka must be the best character ever created.

I really liked it. I cried for Asuka and Shinji.

This thing made me cry...stories rarely do that...wow! that's all I can say. I was reading one of your newer fics and decided to try this one. I was reading fics while listening to the EVA soundtrack, fitting that Asuka's theme had just started as I read it. Wow again.

Ach vey. The only way it could be sharper is if it fit into canon.

OK, in all seriousness, it could use polishing on a couple points, in-voice or not: a comma here, word order there (why on Earth "here am I"?). The voice is good, though, and internally consistent.

I like how feels smooth and organic, so that we don't really need any more than a few clues about what happened between "then" and "now." The main sticking point is the violation of canon... if Shinji went out and fought the MP Eva after Asuka's unit was destroyed, and he died, then how did Instrumentality work out? The reason Rei turned from Gendo was that she heard Shinji "calling her." Yet this is obviously a world where Third Impact failed, since Asuka has a physical form and all that. 8)

Five stars, even if just because I'm an old A/S fan.

Alain does it again! I felt tears in my eyes. As someone else reviewing this said "ouch,rip my heart out why dont ya?" hard to imagine Asuka stooping so low...and yet it is a Darkfic... Your really good at the depressing EVA futures, arent you (*Thinks of the alternte epilouge to TOILI, and shudders*) -FLM

Quite the heartbreaker. But a real winner for Asuka/Shinji fans.

Good story. Strays a bit from continuity, but that's not always a bad thing. Keep up the good work.
